Right click on your desktop.. click on properties you will see a tab for screensavers...click on that you should be able to see what you have as a screensaver and or change it.

If this is your Windows 7, right click on desktop, select Personalize. Screen saver options are on the lower right and the desktop backgrounds are all the options on the rest of the page.

This site has an illustrated guide showing how to access screensaver settings in both Windows 7 and Windows 8. http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/2109-screen-saver-change.htmlWinfrey's instructions are good for older versions of Windows like XP, but things are different in Vista and later. Draclvr's instructions are good, but I include the link above in case you need pictures.

Ah, my favorite - pictures! Yes, Winfrey, one of these days we will have to drag you kicking and screaming into the 21st century! I finally got one of my former co-workers who retired shortly after I did to ditch his ancient old XP computer. I built him a very nice one and put Windows 7 on it. He's told me twice now that he wishes he would have done it long ago!

Security Updates for XP will be supported until April 8, 2014 according to http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/end-support-help. You may want to keep your XP computer for any games that are troublesome on your new computer, even if you no longer use it for Internet. Even if a game is compatible with Windows 7 or 8, it may not be compatible with the video or sound card drivers that are available for those operating systems for your particular video or sound card.
