I'll bet I'm the only GB who had a bob-tail semi-truck parked in front of their house most of the night. Yup. It pulled up around 7pm, an older gentleman got out and walked directly to the Apartments. He knew where he was going. I 'think' I recall this happening 2 or 3 years ago. That time I actually went out and spoke to the guy. He was nice, just visiting and asked if it was OK to park there.

Then, we didn't have sidewalks, so it was just a huge sandy dirt strip ideal for semi's. This time he didn't ask. Must be a relative or friend of someone who lives in the Apartments OR is going to deliver something big to them today. Won't know until I see if he reappears with the trailer. Thank goodness he's gone this morning or I'd never be able to pull my car out of the driveway safely. Blocks my entire view of traffic which is usually going over 40 or more mph although the speed limit is 30. Wheeeee.

Off to Rally's today to use some coupons. Gonna make my friend walk all the way there. It's about 4 long blocks (that's about 12 of the normal length for us). Up and back and we should burn off those hamburgers and fries. rotfl

Nan, you went out after "a little bit of surgery?" rotfl

We are back from our walk. We paced ourselves as it was hot cos I slept in, but the humidity wasn't high and there was a nice breeze. Dogs are all stretched out on the floor.

Son left as soon as I got home. He said he asked me if they could take the van (dog car) but I didn't hear him so we took our time, stopped and chatted with folks. Wouldn't have done that if I knew they were waiting.

Anyway, all clean now. Hubby is showering and then we will bop to the Winn Dixie up the street for some groceries. I must have my post walk watermelon! Nothing better for hydrating. And I need an ingredient or two for tomorrow's smoothie. Son does not eat in the mornings, but will drink a smoothie. Soot and I like it too once we get home from our walk.

Anyone going to see the new Superman? We might go tomorrow once the boys go home. wave

Howdy everyone! The race was fun and great and we succeeded in doing all the obstacles. It was muddy and fun! We went out for dinner afterwards and then went to a sports bar to watch the Hawks and have some adult beverages. Great day!
Home now and took my contacts off so I actually see close and type. Family has been reading to me all day. lol

I hope you all had a great day!

Late checking in....

Slept in woot, then had a wonderful phone chat with best bud, then spent an easy peasy day with Hubby. Lovely...

Tomorrow morning it's son, DIL, grandbabies, daughter, and her sweetie over here for crepes for Father's Day breakfast! Then another easy peasy day planned. Hubby wants to barbecue. Life is good! hearts

Having a glass of an amazing 'ancient vine' Zinfandel from Lodi, with notes of deep berry and casis, oak, and smokey ham! Fab-U-Lous!

Alrighty, off to see what's afoot!
