Found this; both easy and not-so-easy!

An arena holds 25,000 people.
Single and family tickets are sold.
Single tickets cost $16.
Family tickets allow 2 adults and 2 kids.
The arena is full; ticket sales total $365,000.

If 1,000 more family tickets had been sold,
ticket sales would be $14,000 lesser.

How many family tickets were sold? At what price?

Assume thar each family ticket means 4 people.

2500 family tickets were sold at $50 each wave

Sometimes lost is where you need to be. Just because you don't know your direction doesn't mean you don't have one.

CORRECTO!

General case. Givens:
M = income = 365000
N = arena capacity = 25000
A = cost for single ticket = 16
W = persons allowed with family ticket = 4
K = increased family ticket sale = 1000
J = decline in sales = 14000

b = cost of each family ticket = (AWK - J) / K = 50

v = number of family tickets = (M - AN) / (b - AW) = 2500

u = number of "single" tickets = N - vW = 15000
