Nan, you sound like a wise lady wave

Back from the grocery store...such a dangerous place for me to go.

Now to put it all away and then eat some lunch.

This is going to be a beauty day....because, and Sorta you can relate, none of my 4 footers threw up after breakfast. It's like a vacation.

And resolved not to complain about the hot weather because Alaska is having 80-90 degree heat. Yup, Google had a picture of Alaskans sunbathing at the shore. I believe the caption claimed not since 1917 so hot.

Metro last light is a good game, intreguing, however it doesn't stir up the old adrenaline like Killzone 2 does. I've played that K'Zone game so much I know what they will say next.

Well, dishes to do then errands then playtime

Looney: thank you kissy

Nan: thank you muches for the Band! They always help us getting to Italy sound and safe. I'am glad to have them. And I'am praying for granddaughter that she will find her way back home.

Love you all. See you (hopefully) soon again.

Hey Yankee! What a great day for you and the furry ones. Wow a day without cleaning up the floor? Awesome.

In other news: The yard kid showed up today, instead of yesterday (he promised promised) so I asked if he was working. He was, for my neighbor. She's been waiting for him for 3 weeks to reappear. We thought he was arrested (had a warrant) but not so.

He showed up Sunday with an employee badge from IKEA. Had his picture and everything. He said he was hired there and had been working and the judge vacated the warrant. Uhhuh.

So he promised to come Tuesday to work for the neighbor. Never showed but she was gone anyway so it was OK. Today I wanted him to do some stuff for me after he finished with her, but although he said yes, and told HER he was headed over to my house after he finished, I saw him walking by at a very fast pace and he never came back.

Neighbor was angry as was I. You see, I had loaned him 10 bucks Sunday because he said he needed bus/trolley money to get home. Uhhuh. Never again. He owes me now and either he works it off or he pays me cash. I wonder how long it will take till we see him again?

He said he didn't show yesterday because IKEA called him to come in on his day off. OK so why isn't he working today? It's NOT his day off. I just can't believe anything he says anymore.

So yard kid is cutting the neighbor's hedge that divides me from her and it gets high and we can't see each other. It's for safety so we can watch each other's places. Yard kid is using her electric hedge trimmer and I hear him NOT shutting it off (it will overheat if you run it constantly) so I go out and he is ON HIS cellphone, just holding the trimmer at his side. I guess he thinks he can fool everyone that he's working if we hear the trimmer running.

At that point I yelled across the driveway to turn it off when he's not using it or it would burn out like he did with my electric trimming saw. Yup, he did that.

So I call my neighbor, tell her I handled the constant running bit and warned her that even though he said he could spend the entire day, that he would probably soon be coming to her door with an 'emergency'.

I was RIGHT! A few minutes later, he had to leave to 'go get a physical'. Well, this didn't jibe with 'all day available' or 'going to do my house next' and it's always after a phone call that the 'emergency' occurs. I've got his number now. Ha.

She was forewarned and told him he had to FINISH the job or not get paid till he did. Suddenly, he could wait awhile and finish. Yup. We are getting smart here. So he finishes, gets paid, tells her he's coming directly to me and never arrives.

I called her way later and she was shocked because he had just told her he was going to my house. Lying is getting worse and worse.

My best guess is he's not hired by IKEA, that he's probably in a trainee class and decided that today he didn't want to go. We shall see when he comes up with some story about why they 'fired' him. Probably it will be that some other guy there attacked him. It's the usual story.

I can hardly wait for the next time AND wait for him to come and do the work for me OR pay me the 10 bucks he owes. Not holding breath.

Hello everybody. wave

Mama Mia I'm tired!! tired

I spent the better part of the day mowing and trimming our entry, and the road up to the mansion here. razz

Well I take that back. It wasn't the better part of the day because I wasn't laying down, and it was the hotter part of the day. Like 95 degrees. slapforehead

I had to mow it all by push mower, and it was a killer. razz

It looks so much better though. bravo

I'm also tired because I only slept 4 or 5 hours last night. After I got home at around 11:00, and showered and came here and posted the diner, it was pretty late. Then go up at 7:00, and I'm pooped. tired

I hope everyone is good this evening.

Evie have a safe trip. yes

joe

Good night to those off to rest. It's been a long day here. Hubby came home from work work and took my puppies out for a sunset run. Bless his heart. I barely had the energy to make dinner. I hope I can shake off the bug by tomorrow because I have no time to be knocked down.

Has anyone heard from Venus? She's been gone quite awhile. duh

Joe they got out at 3. Their bags got there yesterday so they were without their belongings for 36 hours with a 16 month old. lol Needless to say they were thrilled to be going home finally.

How come you are using the push mower? What happened to your zero turn one?

Hi guys. I had a good day off today. My Dr's appointment was very informative. First off, I have a UTI, getting meds for that, tomorrow I have to make an appointment for a colonoscopy, not looking forward to that, then I have to make an appointment to have my hernia fixed. I have a lot going on but I need to just do it. Planning on fixing my medical problems just as soon as I can. I'll need a few good vibes from my Game Boomer family as I am such a chicken, yep, I admit it.

Evelyne I hope you have a safe trip.

Time to call it a night. See you in the morning.

Midgie sleep

Edit:
Ana I hope you feel better in the morning. kissy
