Bob, yep that is a major difference that I really like. Also, in GW2 resource nodes are shared. So if 5 folks all see the same tree, they can all harvest the tree, mine the ore, etc.

Also, you get experience for helping folks out, but that does not nerf their experience at all. So when I would be running by and see someone in trouble, I'd stop and help, and vice versa. Course, this happens in WoW too, but I found it happened more frequently in GW2.

Also, to kill a world boss you do not need to be invited in GW2...show up and participate.

I never got around to doing the dungeons while I was playing GW2 so really can't compare those. Both games are a lot of fun.

Let's put it this way, I die more in GW2 dungeons even with self healing. SW if we don't over aggro, getting the healer killed, I can usually survive.

Guybrush - you really should try The Secret World too then. Of course you'd need to buy the game first though...

Finally, they put the Cook's Outfit on the sale for 31 days of sales. Now Kissa Nimbleclaw can look like a chef when cooking.

Been a fairly large update, adding new content and new items in store. A Name Change Contract allows you to change the name of a character.

Guild Wars 2 opening screen had some bad music. I assume it was an April Fool's Day gag.

Guild Wars 1 opening screen has "Confidential Information" which is unreadable. Whether its supposed to be something that can be decoded or just gibberish for an April Fool's joke I don't know. One person I found in the game said they couldn't decipher it.

Looks I missed some excitement. Seems there was a murder during the festival. https://www.guildwars2.com/en/the-game/releases/june-25-2013/

Oh and Sea of Sorrows, the third book based on Guild Wars 2 is available for pre-order at Amazon (Actuyally I've had mine on pre order for over a year) and the say its shipping next week).

Not having played for several months I've missed a lot. I just read a short story about an evil sylvari. Checked the wiki and she was in a group event. One thing I like better about SWTOR their events repeat so if you miss them they'll be back again some time. Like I still haven't done the Gree stuff. Got to get back in that game too, they just added level 55 missions. GW2 does special stuff that runs then is done.

I missed the election in Lion's Arch.
