I am going to be silent (I know, hard to believe but I don't want to be exiled permanently to the naughty corner) so I will simply post the link. You can read It here. Ana

I spend so much time in the naughty corner I wouldn't know how to act anywhere else, so.... I got that email. You don't have an icon that expresses how badly I'm Steamed.

Do you have one that looks parboiled, fried and stomped flat? I'd like to use it on...someone. You're the best, MaG. Gil. Shoot, forgot:

Whew! Luckily for me, I just recieved an Email telling me I have inherited 2.5 million Euros from someone I've never heard of, so this doesn't really bother me.

I never thought all that well of publishers before this. Now I see the reason for them. Tim Shafer's sycophants see nothing wrong with what's happening here, they write reams to justify his behavior, but what it boils down to is that he makes promises he has no intention of keeping though he got many times the money he was asking for to fulfill them; and the guy who only wanted a game, not perks or video documentaries, who is not fine with long delays or release in parts or on Steam (utilizing their form of DRM which he said absolutely would not happen), who thinks there's something wrong about starting work on a new game before this one is finished, can just go sit in a corner and talk to himself because nobody at Double Fine is interested.
And yes, I splice commas. I'm just as creative in my way as Tim Schafer. I tend to keep my promises though.

One of my first thoughts was that this "mess" could hurt the chances of other kickstarters in the future. Trust has definitely been compromised. "What we do know is that one of the most prominent examples of a crowdfunding success story just became one of the most prominent examples of why consumers should be wary of backing crowdfunded projects."

Even though I didn't donate to this particular Kickstarter, I did donate to others. I'm not so much upset about losing my donations, but the ramifications this whole mess is going to have on future Kickstarter campaigns. Just when it seemed that we could look forward to more adventure games being made by direct funding by the players themselves, this situation with Double Fine could doom future fundraising campaigns.
The answer is....chocolate! Who cares what the question is.....

Yes, I agree, lanlynk. I backed about six games in varying amounts and the only ones I have absolute trust in to deliver are the developers of J.U.L.I.A. Enhanced even though Jan has announced a small delay. At my age, I'd appreciate seeing the rest of them sometime before I'm trying to find a computer with Windows 7 on the cloud I'm assigned. (Most likely it will be Win 8 if I end up further south.) I really doubt I'll be tossing any more money at a crowd funded game any time soon.
