A 777 Boeing plane from Korea crash landed on the runway at San Francisco Airport at about 12 noon California time. The tail broke off and the plane caught on fire. Evacuation slides were deployed and many people were seen evacuating the plane, but there is no word on casualties an hour and a half later. Going nuts trying to get updates.

Prayers for the injured and all involved. Hoping for the best, but it looks very bad.

The live reports we saw after it happened seemed to show the people all got off. Hopefully that was correct.

EDIT - They just said 2 deceased and 43 injured. sad

We saw several transports loading survivors when it first happened. Still hoping that everyone is safe but 2 dead report isn't encouraging. Press conference scheduled here in a little.

Reading between the lines from the news stations, they are counting the total on board, plus those who were brought in the airport shuttles and those in hospitals, and are coming up with 60 unaccounted for passengers. Not sounding good but hoping for the best.

Encouraging news at the latest news conference. They thought 60 people were unaccounted for but after searching the terminal, they found all but ONE person on the passenger list. So it's 2 dead and 1 missing as it stands now. Many injured, some critical (at least 10) but it's not as bad as they thought.

They also had one of the passengers who was ON the plane on the phone, and he said it was pretty orderly exiting and that by the time he reached the exit, firemen were already entering the plane and helping people get out.

He also said that they came in way too low, the pilot tried to 'hit the gas' and climb but it was too late and the tail hit the rocks that divide the water from the runway. Everything else was perfectly normal until that moment.

So better news for some of the families. Still praying for recovery of those injured.

I saw this on the news. My prayers are going out to everyone involved.

It's nice to be important but it is much more important to be nice.

I saw it on the news as well. It looks like most of the passengers made it out okay.
