I'm trying to fire at the bananas with the cannon. Every time I try to shoot the cannon, it misfires. I never get the option to aim at the bananas.

I must be missing something in this linear game. Does any one have an idea. I'm following the walkthrough exactly.

Did you check-click on the bananas earlier or try to reach it from the stairs?

Yes, I have tried to touch the bananas, but they are "too high". I have tried to open the cave door. I have loaded the cannon now 4 times, and each time Jack says "that was loud, but without the desired effect". I CANNOT get Jack to aim at the bananas. Unless this is a glitch, and I doubt that to be the case, I must be missing some tiny element here. I've talked to Amanda and the ape and have done everything step by step in the walkthrough. If I can't aim at the bananas, I am stuck in the game in an endless misfiring cannon loop.

Did the gorilla make known that he wants bananas?
Did you try to take the banana oil right of stove?

Have you primed the cannon correctly?
- Use the gunpowder on cannon.
- Use the pineapple ramrod on cannon with gunpowder.
- Use cannon ball on cannon.
- Use Chinese fuse on cannon.
- Use lit torch on cannon.

As always, I thank you so much for your help. I was, indeed, loading the cannon in a slightly different order than you outlined - wow, is this linear. You are great!

I know I also redid that puzzle twice to get the correct sequence. Have fun.
