Use the four clues to find a common link. List the answer to each clue and the link. Some answers may be homophones of the actual word for the group.

Example: lifting device (crane), rapid (swift), flying toy (kite), glimmer (flicker)...bird types.

-1. a very small amount, a circular ratio?, passe tape format, faucet type or airline
-2. front end of a gun barrel, dries up, word with leap or legs or man or bull, pawn
-3. escort (5), portion (5), close tightly (4), have a sharp pain (5) Answers, in no particular order, begin with CUSS
-4. shovels, conflict, Arabic demon, fireplace tool
-5. even or flat, complete, word with spy or sea, exercise
-6. common cast member, eye socket, a leather-covered club, portable rocket launcher
-7. revel (9), tale teller (4), united (3), a police car (5,3,5) Answers, in no particular order, begin with BLOC

Really close, manxman. The category is right but the third word needs changed. This is one of the homophone clues. The actual word starts with a silent letter.
