I've finally caught up to this totally charming game and am loving it. Already can tell I'll want to replay it once I fully understand it, because I know I must be missing things.

I am quite stuck now, trying to get the star or sun or whatever the glowing orb is that I need to take away from a sleeping worm. There is a maze I need to drag it through, but I barely get started before the worm wakes up and takes back the glowing object. Maybe my hand-eye coordination isn't up to snuff. LOL I'm hoping there is a trick to this that someone can share?

Thanks, Marion. Very helpful. Wow. I read down to the part where I am stuck, and it describes exactly what I am trying to do all right, just not how to succeed at it. wink It is really quite a tricky maneuver. Most of this game has been brain power. I sure hope I am not done in just because I don't have the manual dexterity to execute this "steal" now.

Thanks. I appreciate it. The challenge is great because it is a LONG maze, and I can't manage to get more than started before I lose out. I can tell it would be maddening. I am one of those perverse few who actually love mazes(!), but not this stressful pursuit type. frown

I do see some posts about this maze in the forum that I linked to above. It sounds quite tricky. wave

It is! Thank you for that Forum link. There was one great suggestion on tricking the worm that does help enormously, and I was able to get about halfway through the maze using it. But there is still a great deal of speed/dexterity involved and the stress level simply is too high for me. My heart was pounding and my hands shaking. Maybe a trigger-happy arcade-loving teenager could manage it, but I am afraid it is a game killer for little old me. I'm so disappointed. I love this game!

That's a shame. Maybe someone will happen along with a saved game that could get you past this. wave

Reenie, try that forum that Marian linked you to. In the thread titled "Touchpad too slow to kill the red eyed bugs" there is a post with a link to the Worm Maze and someone provided a saved game to the user who couldn't get through it.

I know it took me a LOT of tries to get through it too!

OK, I did find it, along with all the other players' whining (so it isn't just ME...), but a hidden surprise awaited. I'm playing the digital downloaded game from GOG and there is no game folder for me to drag the Saved game to in my Programs folder. A game file for Botanicula does not show up. All that is in my GOG folder is their "Downloader." I play the Botanicula through an icon it placed on my screen. I do not see any of my six saved games anywhere on my HD.

I guess I'll let my resident IT expert (AKA: husband) take a look at this for me. smile

Good news! It took another couple of hours, some more Internet crawling and an email to GOG to find out where the Botanicula game places its Saves, so I could drag the file there. (No, it wasn't as simple as looking in the game's program folder. lol)

Anyway, I am thrilled to be able to go on with the game now, instead of wanting to remove the disk and use it to scrape my BBG grill. Thanks everyone. 'Boomers comes through again! happydance
