More Tom Swifties. (For example "I'll have a martini," said Tom, drily.) As ever, grovelling apologies for any re-runs.

Some of these are very clever and quite tough, so being all heart, I've given you first letter and length as a starter grin·

-1. "Ouch! When I get stung, I want revenge," said Tom b-----------
-2. "Let's take a vacation in the south of France," said Tom n-----
-3. "I don't know any shanties," said Tom u----------
-4. "Get the stick, Rover!" Tom called f---------
-5. "A million thanks, Monsieur," said Tom m---------
-6. "I've been feeding the crocodile," said Tom o----------
-7. "No, I don't know the name of the sun god," Tom a---------
-8. "I didn't do well in the test," Tom said d---------
-9. "Dat's de end of April," said Tom in d----
-10. "Don't let me drown in Paris!" pleaded Tom i-------
-11. "3.142" said Tom p------
-12. "I've been disenfranchised," said Tom d--------

Hints for the last one:

- "shanty" does not refer to a hut - look up a nautical definition
- what do you do with shanties?
- and where would it be done?
- and the second letter in "n"

To waste one second of one's life is a betrayal of one's self.
I wonder what's on television...?

Sometimes lost is where you need to be. Just because you don't know your direction doesn't mean you don't have one.

There are 4 syllables: "un", one referring to where you would find a shanty, one referring to what you would do with it, and "ly" think
