Try your hand at these brain-busting trivia questions. Remember, please, that you may not google or use any reference sources for the first 24 hours of this thread. -1. What are the seven numbers from 0 to 100 that look the same when written upside down? -2. In the movie Little Shop of Horrors, the man-eating plant is a cross between butterwort and what other plant? -3. In Egyptian mythology, what ancient god was originally god of the desert? -4. What was the name of Merv Griffin's first TV show? -5. In 1951, 200 people paid $3 a year for the privilege of having what kind of paper (plastic came later) in their wallet? -6. Which gas is so light that it constantly escapes the earth's atmosphere and is replenished by the decay of radioactive elements? -7. Originally dyed by producers to hide stains on its shell, what beige nuts are still artificially colored for tradition's sake? -8. What medieval eyedrops were used to make a lady's eyes brighter, though they had the unfortunate side effect of possible blindness? -9. Which hockey team won the Stanley Cup three times by 1940 but had to wait 54 years before they won it a fourth time? -10. Of vermouth, cognac, and Grand Marnier, which spirit is not French in origin?
The moon is actually more useful than the sun since the moon gives us light at night when it's dark. The sun only gives us light during the day when it's already bright out.
