Game Informer is doing a series of articles on Dragon Age: Inquisition this month.

The September issue features DA: Inquisition, see here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dvu_U83PMKo
( source: http://social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/371/index/17096503 )

More info here:
http://www.gameinformer.com/b/news/archi...ition-6119.aspx

You also get to watch 1.43 minute of some very early gameplay...

Next update will be tomorrow, the 9th of August 2013, see here: http://www.gameinformer.com/p/dai.aspx

On the 7th of August 2013, Game Informer revealed a video featuring interviews with Mike Darrah and Mike Laidlaw
A Look Inside Dragon Age: Inquisition's Development, link: http://www.gameinformer.com/b/features/a...evelopment.aspx
( source:http://social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/371/index/17096503 )

Shinobi602 has made a thread at the BSN where he/she discusses the changes from DA2 (and DA:O). I'm quoting the most signicant changes:

Quote:
Weather effects can impact exploration, ex. Rainfall, desert sandstorms
Rainy weather can make areas muddy, slowing down your traversal/agility in combat, while sandstorms can inflict damage causing you to seek shelter
At least 3 races to choose from; when asked about Qunari, Mike Laidlaw says “Do we go to four? I don’t know. Definitely these are the safe bet”.Want to make sure there a sufficient number of caves in the game that are each unique, and optional. If you have a mage in your group, you can use a spell to reassemble a crumbled bridge to reach a new area.

Apparently, health regeneration like in DA2 is out, too, e.g no full health after combat anymore. There's a thread on the BSN discussing this here:
http://social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/371/index/17097515

The reason we're getting the three playable races is this: EA gave them more time; game is still slated for late 2014 release.

Thanks Karsten. Looks like Bioware is listening to the players smile

Sometimes lost is where you need to be. Just because you don't know your direction doesn't mean you don't have one.

In DA: Inquistion you can (again) select being a dwarf, elf, or human player character, also known as the pc, avatar or protagonist of the story.

If you want to know why Bioware made this decision, and how being able to select what race you'll be playing in DA: Inquistion will influence the way you play the game, you can watch this 3.30 minute interview with Mike Laidlaw and Mike Darrah from Bioware - at Game Informer; link:

http://www.gameinformer.com/b/features/a...nquisition.aspx

Apparently only 5% play dwarfs, but the people that play as a dwarf, are very connected to that race, it seems...

Yay! Back to the good stuff, hopefully. I liked DA2, but I LOVED DA:Origins.

I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

It is very interesting, I find, to see and hear how much Mike Laidlaw actually burns for the the inclusion of races in the DA univese e.g. in the DA universe. It is, it seems, very dear to his heart...
