Some businesses in Maine cleverly use their state name in their business names such as the one I saw at a barbecue place "Mainely Meat". Given that thought, how might these New Englanders sneak "Maine" into the answers to these clues?

Widespread use of homonyms throughout the puzzle including the Maine theme.

Hints given for the word that isn't "Maine" in the answer.

-1. Something they put on a picture?
-2. A way to get from one place to another?
-3. A Latino area of the state?
-4. A parcel of property?
-5. A Poker requirement?
-6. A water source?
-7. A price reduction at the market?
-8. Chinese food?
-9. Exploring the state in a dinghy?
-10. The governor's appointment?

Good one, Fil thumbsup

Remi, you're on the right track. lol The answer will be a pretty familiar phrase.

Haroula, I hadn't considered water maine but it works just as well. smile That still leaves one more possible answer then.
