I think I'm supposed to read the letter in Emily's room but she isn't leaving. How do I get her to go? What am I missing?

Emily will leave on her own when the time comes.

You need to go back underground and do some more exploring. Pay special attention to the lanterns. smile

Which lever? I think there's only two -- one to turn on the lights and the other to open the cushion door back into the hotel. If you found the secret passage and entered it (by clicking on the lantern on the right just after you turn on the lights), there's only a crack in the wall to peep through and see Emily's room.

Oh. I thought there was a lever to open the crack wider. My bad. Thanks. Going to get the crystal from Waddell and then use the radio.

Talked to three ham operators and entered those sentences on the board on the clock. Went back to Inn but Emily is still in her room and I can't get the 4th sentence until she leaves. I have been to the secret passage that leads to her room.

Try peeking in Emily's room again.
Then talk to Jane if possible.

No conversation available with Jane. Emily is still in her room. Any suggestions?

I checked old threads about this problem and got some things the other gamers missed:
- Completely talk to Topham.
- Look close-zoom in on the newspaper that has the hobo language.
- Check the puzzles at the carriage house.
- Did the pie puzzle.
- Check the old clock puzzle in the carriage house attic.

Can't get to old clock puzzle in carriage house without doing the hobo language puzzle, which I can't do without getting into Emily's room. Did everything else but no progress.

cmumm59,

I sent you several saved games. The sequence of those are seen in the numbers in the title. Also the title are descriptive.
Use which one you need.
Check the to do to see what else is needed to be done. luck

Thank you. I am playing as a Senior detective so I don't have a task list.
