An infamous Pandora puzzle! I don't think she'll mind us borrowing this puzzle format for a spell. smile

I’ve used a new-fangled 26-key keyboard to type the names of twelve related words, numbered 1-12 in the red squares. Each digit represents the number of keystrokes used on that key for that word. (Spaces, if any, are not indicated.) Can you decipher the words?

Did you ever stop to think and then forget to start again?

Sometimes lost is where you need to be. Just because you don't know your direction doesn't mean you don't have one.

The best math you can learn is how to calculate the future cost of current decisions.

Here's a hint. They're all sports...no really!

Here's another one: #11 actually has two possible answers using the same three letters! :faint:

A few thoughts to get you going again if you're at a standstill.

Logical deduction identifies the locations of letters FGLNOPY and are shown on the original post.

I would look at #8 and #9 due to the repeat letters in both 8 and 9 as well as the known letters in #9.

The knowns for #9 are: FLLOO with three unknowns that are single letters. Two of the unknowns are shared with "volleyball". Compare shares of knowns/unknowns with other solves.

The letter counts for #8 should be a clue to it's answer. It has two L's and two other double letters and is 8 letters long. Three of the unknowns are shared with "volleyball".

Similar logic using word lengths, letter patterns, known letter and unknown letter shares can be used to solve other clues.
