My local computer engineer is coming Saturday and he thinks it's the power supply too.
I've been assured all can be retrieved and put onto the new computer if the old one can't be fixed.
I do back up periodically but there's always something one has overlooked, isn't there?

I come from a generation and a background of non waste, where you didn't discard or replace unless something was broken. Am now feeling virtuous!
UPDATE!!!!!
My new computer arrived and I'm happy to say I no longer have the graphics problem with Silent Spy.
I'm absolutely thrilled I took the plunge and can now play the latest games.
