Can anyone advise me on Bit defender? My daughter bought it and installed it on her computer and she says it's great, but she's not been using it but a few days. Today is the last day of the sale so have to get it today. Oh, she said that her pc runs faster also,

Bit Defender is rated quite highly in the tech magazines and on-line. Is this Bit Defender Plus? When she says her computer is faster, it's faster compared to what? What I mean is what anti-virus was she using before? If it was one of the resource hogs, that's probably true. I think you are using the free Windows Defender on your Windows 8 and that definitely won't slow down your computer. I can't remember what you have on the Vista, but if it's Microsoft Security Essentials; that won't slow it down either. So you probably won't get any speed-up boost from it.

But it's good anti-virus if you are not satisfied with what you are already using.

The way she talked it runs in the background and takes care of things and you do nothing. Yes Drac. I use MSE on the pc's and I like it. I do only have the free version though. wave

There is ONLY the free MSE... there is no paid version. It also runs in the background and takes care of things and you do nothing. Well, you should run a scan once a month or so.

Cool. I forgot to post back Drac. My daughter was using Eset before she purchased Bit defender.
