Each answer is a word within a word. In each case, the inner word does not have the first or last letters of the outer word. For example: If the clue is "Hearing organ/facial hair", the answer would be "Beard" (B-EAR-D). -1.Bad/Wicked people. 6 letters -2. Wrath/Weary. 5 3.Confuse/propelled. 7 -4.Spanish cheers/Annoy. 6 -5.Pain/Distinctive mark of individuality. 6 -6.Octopus defense/Smallish. 5 -7.Crumb/Direction. 5 -8.Avail/Greek goddesses. 5 -9.Extended family member/Insults. 6 -10.Gallows necessity/Cause to move. 6
