Does anyone know if they edit these games?
Playing Mystery of the Nautilus from them. I played long ago and this seems like a totally different game. Checked one of the WTs on here and there are all kinds of objects that aren't in my game. Some puzzles are actually already solved?
Thanks, caz

They do not edit them, but the developer does sometimes. It is best to check here on the thread that pertains to that game and it should be noted.

THere were some things removed but for the most part you should be able to use the WT for it.

Wow. Huge chunks. And the WT is asking for items that don't even exist??????????

I don't know if Big Fish edits the games themselves or not, but many of the older adventure games they sell ARE edited.

The same is true of some of the ports of older adventure games for Mac and iPad (sold through the Mac App store and iTunes) -- many of the puzzles and locations are removed from games like Amerzone, Beyond Atlantis, etc. It's hard to believe that they'd remove the Mayan number system puzzle and the rainbow bridge puzzle but leave in that horrible jungle maze. Very disappointing.

They do not edit them, many of them are Anuman games and they will cut them into pieces. That is why I suggest that you either read the reviews on BF or check the threads here to see if it is only a piece of a game or slightly altered.

You need to read the reviews or check the post here where we announce it. If it's on BF there is a thread on it here.

Where are the BF threads? That's a lot of games. Specifically SH and Jack the Ripper.
Thanks, caz

Use the search feature on the upper right for finding the games. For instance, to find the the Nautilus game just type in Nautilus and set it for the last few years.

Never been real good with the search feature. Tried it and came up with everythinmg but. Oh well, it was only $2 so can't complain.
Thanks, caz

You may have better luck checking the Big Fish reviews for the game instead of using the Gameboomers Search.

Big Fish has two places to look for reviews...
one on the download page for the game -- for example scroll down to the reviews at
http://www.bigfishgames.com/download-games/22339/secret-of-the-nautilus/index.html
and one in the forum --
click the "Get Tips in the Forum" link on the download page and then look for the "Reviews for..." thread for the game.

There is a review on the game page by none other than Draclvr that makes it clear the version of Nautilus sold by Big Fish is "a casual game remake" and not the original game from 2002. Another informative user review at Big Fish is by JonasBecsan, who is also an adventure game player who played the 2002 original and describes differences from the remake.

So I think your best resource is the Big Fish game site itself -- and the user reviews by adventure gamers.
