Nevermind, the biofeedback horror adventure we announced here is still moving forward!

You can view the kickstater here

Check out the official website here.

An update from the previous news, you will not be required to own a heartrate monitor do play the game.

Quote:
Nevermind is a biofeedback-enhanced horror adventure game that takes you into the dark and twisted world within the subconscious minds of trauma victims.

As you explore surreal labyrinths and solve the puzzles of the mind, a biofeedback sensor monitors how scared or stressed you become with each passing moment. If you let your fears get the best of you, the game will become harder. If you’re able to calm yourself in the face of terror, the game will be more forgiving.

Nevermind’s goal is to create an unforgettable gameplay experience that also teaches players how to be more aware of their internal responses to stressful situations. If you can learn to control your anxiety within the disturbing realm of Nevermind, just imagine what you can do when it comes to those inevitable stressful moments in the real world…

Happy Gaming!

Looks really interesting... but would like to have the full experience... wonder if I can find a cheap.. maybe used heartrate monitor to play the game. Time to start Googling..

Thanks, Ana!

It is a very good idea.

I don't want to sound negative but what I see as a big problem is the cost of a sensor that should be connected to the computer. Lets hope is not prohibitive for most players luck

I believe more people than may think may have the sensors already. I have a couple and lots of people I know have one but I am a gym rat and so it's common in the environment I am around. You can find deals on them and it is not required to play the game so you do not have to use one at all.

Ana, I have also a heart sensor but there has to be a receiver that goes in the PC to detect the heart rate. At least this is what I understand.

mcc, any USB bluetooth receiver works. You can get them as low as 4.99.

Thank you, mine works with a watch, I thought one would need a special receiver for that .

Mine works with a watch too or bluetooth enabled exercise equipment so you would just need the Bluetooth USB to make it register on the PC.
