Having a problem in Carrion Woods.
I have talked to Robert and set off into the woods, but I seem to have gone wrong somewhere along the way. I have reached what I think is the first millstone - single dot - but I can do nothing with it. I can't use the oak sticks on it, as they do not seem to go in, and thus I cannot rotate it. Nigel just keeps on about 'what do these monoliths do, and perhaps Robert could help'
I have tried going on to the next monoliths, which all seem to have turning sticks in the sides, but all to no avail.I can rotate them all but cannot seem to achieve the final aim of seeing Northfield Church.

Any assistance would be gratefully received.

Hi Petert,

Be sure that you have examined everything in Robert's workshop and have talked to him completely.
You then should have the map of Carrion Woods.
You also should have read Countryside Festivals of Antiquity book at Celtic Corner and the paper inside Katherine's cookbook.
These should give the clues for the seasons.
- Now go to Millstone 1 and turn it to winter. Then look through the hole on the millstone to see the next millstone.
- then do spring.
- then do summer.

There are pictures of the millstone in the walkthrough. See if that helps. luck

Thanks for this.
I am not sure what I had left out, but I repeated the talk with Robert and have seen that the map now has the requisite picture of the church.

Onwards and upwards.

I am stuck again.
I thought I had completed everything that was required so that I could leave the churchyard, exit the cemetery and walk to the end of Ravens Lane.
But pesky Nigel says something about making sure that he has all the information he needs before leaving, and I cannot leave the churchyard.

Bother.

I will go back again and retrace my steps, but in the meantime, I would be grateful if someone could point me in the most likely area where I have gone wrong.

Thanks

petert

Hi petert, it's very easy to miss something in the churchyard section of the game. You could try looking at the UHS hints for the game here, and see if you can figure out what you missed. The link takes you to the section of the game where you are at present. wave

Thanks for the UHS hints - I made it out of the church, now heading back to town.

Strikes me as a very pernickety game, but will stick with it for now.

I really struggled with the woods and the milstones . ( I even struggled with the first part in harbour cottage!) The best thing to do is look at everything!

It is a superb game, stick with it. It is a bit pernickety but I use walk throughs with these pernickety games, lol.

We'll outgrow the walk-throughs, yeah, we really will.
