Connie I'm so sorry for the loss of your husband. Sending my prayers, love and hugs along with those of all your friends here at GB. I hope all our prayers can help give you comfort and strength. Love and Hugs, Gerry
Thanks everyone. I really can't talk yet. There is such a Big hole in my heart and life right now. I know it will never go away, but it will get easier. We are having a direct cremation and scattering hubby's ashes in the back yard. That is what he wanted and he will always be near.
So sorry for your loss Connie. A friend sent me this when my mom passed away. "a well lived life does not end any more than music ends..... it echoes through time with whispers of beauty and grace .......

Would that I could be the peacemaker in your soul that I might turn the discord and the rivalry of your elements into oneness and melody Gibran
My heartfelt condolences for your loss Connie! I can't find the right words to give you a bit of solace. I think there aren't any. You lost the dearest person in your life and we all here know how much and how long you two were fighting the illness. I will think of you and will pray for strength. May Don rest in peace. Hugs and more hugs to you and your family my dear! Evelyne

Thank you everyone for your kind words and prayers. It still seems like it's a bad dream you can't wake up from. We are going to have a Celebration of life Bar B Que for hubby on Easter Sunday. We will then scatter his ashes in the back yard he enjoyed so much. One of the last things he asked to do was to sit in the back yard by his pond.
