Nearly finished the Book of Unwritten Tales and wondered does anyone know who did the translation in the English version? Why I’m asking is I can’t believe the humour, not the protagonists so much, but by the other characters was German humour, it was so typically English. One character that really cracked me up was the female dragon earnestly studying how to be ferocious, she was delightful.
Example
“You’re Stupid”
“Oh that’s not a very nice thing to say is it?”
You can’t get a reply more English than that.

It makes me think they looked at the German dialogue and then did it their way.

That statement could be heard here in America as well.

I found this interview that they answer the question.
