I seem to have come to a dead end with Miskatonic. It seems a good game. I got inside the Sanitarium, but when I try to look at the statue, all I get are the books. Am I missing something? I thought I had done everything in the Deanery.

Also I did look at the 2nd photograph of the woman on the desk, but I can't read what it says. Can anyone tell me this?

It's been a while since I played this game. Is there more than one bookcase, and are you looking at the correct one? Perhaps the hotspot for the statue is small -- you could try moving your cursor very slowly around the area. If that doesn't work, perhaps check back through Bert Jamin's walkthrough HERE and see if you can spot anything you might have missed doing up to this point.

The photograph shows two strange symbols at far right. They're all you need to make a note of.

Many thanks or your reply. To my knowledge there is only one bookcase. I'll try looking more carefully.

Unfortunately, my eyesight is such that I cannot even recognise the symbols.
