Anybody have any experience in vacationing in Key West in either July or September?

Only been there once when I was a child and that was in the winter. Sorry I can't help.

My daughter was there in July last year and they loved it. What did you want to know specifically?

Weather mostly. Been checking prices. Lot cheaper in September but weather sounds more problematic from what I've read on the web.

Hurricane season is pretty active in Sept.

Oh...hehe...weather. I wrote all this below before I noticed that. Well, I hope you can use this too.

I recommend a stop on Key Largo to visit the John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park. They claim it is the only state park that is completely underwater. A boat takes you out to a very shallow but underwater coral reef where you go snorkeling and see a tremendous number and variety of colorful fish. It was one of the highlights of my visit to Miami/Keys.

Change in plans. Going to do a road trip, no flying. Can get a hotel room in Bozeman Montana for a week for what a night costs in Florida. No beaches but will get to Yellowstone and the Singing Rock. Going to save up for Florida, maybe next year.

Yellowstone is fantastic, you won't regret it!

Watch the bison in Yellowstone! We saw a lot of stupid people get too close. It will be awesome!

My coworker says we'll probably see elk, and I have no intention of getting close to them. Wild animals even if they're not carnivores can be dangerous if spooked.
