Hello, I am playing Dracula 5 as I enjoyed Dracula 4, (apart for the puppet's arm arrggh)! I now have the same frustration with the boat in the cistern! I have followed the instructions to the letter but no matter what I do I end up back at the beginning! I go forward and pick up the compass, then following the said info WWW NN EE NNN......and back to start. I have restarted three times and tried all sorts of permeations to no avail. I have a gorgon at my right back sometimes, but I thought it should be upside down? The one I end up with is sideways and I guessed the character would make some comment if it was the correct gorgon? Please help it is driving me nuts!

Hi Lozza,

I found this part difficult too. Are you making sure to follow the directions looking at the red half of the compass needle? Double check your compass after each move.

Hi Rushes

Thank you so much for your advice. I think I was doing everything right with the compass red part at the top etc. While I waited for your reply I just floated around going this way and that several of the results brought me back to the beginning again as per....till one time I arrived at the correct place! Whether by design or accident who knows,I have happily finished the game and look forward to the next. Thanks once again for your time and trouble ....be seeing you. ha ha.
