I think I messed up. I am at the part where Nancy's room has been ransacked and I got the laser pointer, but nothing triggered for Alec and now I can't find Alec. I never did get the chance to bug his bag so I never saw the yellow symbol that Nancy is supposed to recognize. So did I mess up, please tell me I don't have to start all over or ill cry, lol.

I've never come across a dead end in any Nancy Drew game I've ever played, so I think it's safe to say that you are going to be okay. I would check out the task list (assuming you are playing in Amateur mode) and see what else can be worked on. Let us know how you get on. wave

I have looked at the task list, the only thing I have left is find the stolen cards, and when I get stuck, I look at the walkthrough, and it looks like I have had to put the bug on Alec's bag, but I never did that and I can't find Alec anywhere.

You should be able to put the bug on Alec's bag in the train station - have you seen his bag there?

Yeah I picked up the laser pointer, is there supposed to be anything else? I tried looking at it but it doesn't do anything that I can look it up close.

Okay, have you found the blue scrap of paper in the train station and then followed up on its message? smile
