For no Particular reason I decided to replay an oldie of mine called Dark Fall: Lost Souls. Even though this is at least my third time through, I forget two things about this game. First of all it really fairly difficult. Secondly it is one of the most delightfully creepy, moody, eerie games I have ever played. If you haven't played it, or if you're breathlessly awaiting the upcoming Jonathon Boakes' game, give this oldie a try. It will keep you up late but you won't be sorry.

If all the people were heroes, there would be no one to watch the parades.

I've played all 3 Dark Fall games and thoroughly enjoyed them. I quit halfway through "Lights Out" the first time I tried it because I got lost and confused. Went back to it a few weeks later and was able to move forward. Challenging games with great, complex and creepy stories to tell. Glad you enjoyed "Lost Souls", Haze. If you haven't yet played "Lost Crown", I highly recommend it too.

I am in the middle of DF Lost Souls right now. What a great creepy game! I think I like it best of the DF games, but I did rush though The Journal and lean on the walk-through perhaps a bit too much. This one is a leisurely game if you aren't in a hurry to get out of the really really creepy places, which I always am.

When I decided to jump from the little Facebook adventure games to real adventure games I randomly chose DF Lights Out and had no idea where to start, just sat and stared at the dark streets and went in circles--Dark Fall games, esp. DF Lights Out are NOT the place for a beginning gamer to make a first sally. I went back to Lights Out after Barrow Hill, Lost Crown and Sherlock Holms vs Jack the Ripper and was able to enjoy and finish it. Lost Souls seems to make the most sense of the DF games and I really recommend it if you like dark, creepy, complex and intelligent games. I can't wait for DF 4, which I have seen plugged but haven't seen issued yet.

I am an instant fan of Mr. Boakes and Matt and if there wasn't a cult following already, I'd become a cult of one.

We'll outgrow the walk-throughs, yeah, we really will.

Dark Fall 4 is not yet being developed. It will be awhile until the other games are finished that are already started.
