I am not afraid of storms, for I am learning how to sail my ship.
Louisa May Alcott (1832 - 1888)

You're stuck between the Baby Boomers and Generations X'ers if...

1. You remember when Jordache jeans with a flat handle comb in the back pocket was cool.

2. In your class picture you were wearing an Izod shirt with the collar up.

3. You know by heart the words to any Weird Al Yankovic song (Just eat it, eat it, don't make me repeat it...)

4. You ever rang someone's doorbell and said "Landshark!"

5. Three words: ATARI, IntelliVision and Coleco, sound familiar.

6. You remember the premier of MTV, in fact, you remember the Friday Night Videos before the days of MTV.

7. A predominant color in your childhood photos is plaid.

8. While in high school, you and your friends discussed elaborate plans to get together again at the end of the century and play Prince's "1999" until you passed out partying.

9. You remember when music that was labeled alternative, really was alternative. And when alternative comedy really was funny.

10. You took family trips BEFORE the invention of the minivan.

11 You rode in the back of the station wagon and you faced the cars behind you.

12. You've recently horrified yourself by using any one of the following phrases: When I was younger...When I was your age...You know, back when...

13. Schoolhouse Rock played a HUGE part in how you actually learned the English language (Conjunction junction, what's your function....).

14. You ever dressed to emulate a person you saw in either a Duran Duran, Madonna or Cyndi Lauper video.

15. The first time you ever kissed someone at a dance came during either "Crazy for You" or "Leather and Lace".

16. You remember with pain the sad day when the Green Machine hit the streets and made our old Big Wheel quite obsolete.

17. The phrase "Where's the beef?" still doubles you over with laughter.

18. You honestly remember when film critics raved that no movie could ever possibly get better special effects than those in the movie TRON.

19. You had a crush on either Ted the photographer on The Love Boat, Gage from Emergency or Ponch the motorcycle cop from CHiPs.

20. Your hair at some point in time in the 80's became something which can only be described by the phrase, "I was experimenting."

21. You've shopped at a Benetton.

Good morning everyone.

Woke up at 4 a.m. to thunder boomers. Got .3 inch of rain and there are storms heading our way. We could use some more rain. Took Cory for a walk and picked up our taxes.

Not going to do much today except clean my kitchen floor, play some and read. Sounds like a good plan for a rainy day.

Have a great day everyone.

Oh Gosh, 81 today and low tonight is..........70!!!!! In a few weeks I'll be secretly wishing for winter-(yes? No?)

Kits are fine except for ShemerBaby because this AM he attacked Moira. M. is a sweet older long haired calico and Buttercup and SB pick on her. Anyway SB didn't get his temptations treat and M got double portion HaHaHa. Last week Butter attacked M and CommanderButtons interviened. He got between them, lowered his head and stared at Bcup. The 1st I've seen that.

Speaking of Austin schools. Next term there will be 2 same sex schools opened and students will wear uniforms.......good. Let's wish them well. Maybe some of these teachers who are resigning can work there.

Wednesday is a good day to do nichts isn't it. I'm so stuck on Killzone 4 and it's toward the end too. Ana, yeah me too. If mcc lived close by -she could get me past this and I would pay her.

Gecko still with us but it doesn't do anything and no reptile experts in town.

Happy Wed all

Totally insane day here. Woke up and raced to the Vet with Lil Soot. Now trying to get pills down him he doesn't want to take. Van has to be cleaned as he destroyed it on the way to the vet. Finally got home and got some food and now going to sit for a sec before I fold some laundry. wave

Ana, he started getting me up last night to go out, which he never does. Now he is going out both ends. Doc said a blockage did not show on the x-ray, but of course, not everything will show. Blood tests and urine tests look fine, but ......

So he got a shot and has meds which he does not want to take. The pills are too big for the back of the tongue treatment, so dissolving them in water and giving them by syringe. So far he is not better...hopefully will turn around soon.

I have to take Seagy to AU tomorrow for chemo, so if he is not better by tomorrow, Soot will have to take a day of leave and stay home with him. Love my babies, but really hardwall

So sorry L4L. I hope he feels better before you guys go to bed. Can you give him Imodium? I give them to my boys when they get sick after about 18 hours. I wait until there is nothing left to go and then give it to them to prevent dehydration and settle them down a bit. I know it's not always a good solution if you aren't sure whats wrong.

Merlin is limping badly again but went for a swim and run anyways. He seems better since he ran.

Strange, 2 of my cats are throwing up today and puppy doesn't want supper -she's sleeping instead. Most unusual. And I'm not sick but -wow- do I ever hurt all over. "They" say when strange things like this occur we are going to have an earthquake. (?) Go to coasttocoastam and read about the buffalo leaving Yosemite park. Video shows them running down a road. It's kinda sad but then beautiful too. Those big animals.

Hello ever buddy. wave

I had a super day. I went to Wally world and stocked up, did some laundry, cleaned up and mowed the front yard. YAAAA! bravo By this time I'm pretty exhausted so I took a long nap.

Then got up and cut my hair and showered. yay

I may have done some other stuff, but by now I can't remember what it was. I've slept. razz

We were 74 degrees when I got up this morning, but stayed very cloudy and breezy all day and felt pretty good. thumbsup

Me too Yankee Clipper. yes Can't take the heat.

L4L I hope LiL Soot will be better real soon. lab

Hope your cats and dog are ok too Yankee.

Ana I hope Merlin's foot doesn't keep hurting him. hearts

Happy dreams everyone.
