A missing persons case that develops into something worse The first (and perhaps last) time you'll see Carol Reed investigating in the dark of winter In the course of her investigations Carol learns about the eccentric Malte Stierngranat and sees some bizarre paintings by Hieronymus Bosch* Check out the Gameboomers review of ***Carol Reed 10: Bosch's Damnation***_________________________________________ * (no relation to ***Anonymous Bosch***, whose disturbing painting of King Graham was featured in Laura Bow 2: The Dagger of Amon Ra)

I am deleting this post. Nortons didn't recognize the site I was give to download the game and since the site would NOT allow me to cut and paste the link directly to Explorer it refused to download the game. I had to turn off Nortons to get the game to perform. thank you anyway.
I deleted the last post because I got the game running correctly, YESTERDAY. I refuse to write Mikael AGAIN, but now it's stopped performing normally. First, it's off to the right side of the screen making about 1/3 off the screen, and the WORST PART is all the progress yesterday up to investigating the guy's rented room is GONE. I will have to wait until the disk comes to restart with that. I cannot believe this. Now, I'm REALLY afraid for the new Tex game!

Bubbajake, I don't use Norton. It may be blocking parts of the game. You say you got the game running correctly at one point. Was that when you turned off Norton's real time scanning (and blocking)? Have you tried adding the game exe to Norton's "allowed" list? How to do that might depend on your version of Norton, but it I found instructions for the Norton 360 version ***here*** and it may be similar for other versions. open Norton 360, click on Settings, there AntiVirus Settings, and there you will be able to find the exclusion settings.

BubbaJake,
I'm sorry for your problems. Can it be that you (inadvertently) checked "Run in window" or "Use desktop resolution" in the Game Settings window? Depending on your graphics card, the game can behave like you describe it in some cases.
As for your saved games, have you tried to choose "continue" instead of "load" to get to the autosaved game? The game autosaves when exited, but that save can not be chosen from the load screen.
As for Norton, it can be tricky. My game has gone through Norton's white listing process, so no warnings are supposed to show up. Still, in some rare cases, they do. This seems to happen with all games, more or less, and I don't think anyone's ever really understood why.
Lastly, BubbaJake: Don't hesitate to email me if you have any problems.
Oh, and THANKS FOR THE REVIEW, Jenny.

I use Norton 360 and it told me that the game files were "suspect" when I knew full well they were not. But as they also always offer me the option to override their decision and " install anyway" .... I DID .... and my computer hasn't blown up yet !!
