My new 18" Alienware laptop is finally here. yay devilchili broccoli dance taz

I have a whole stack of games ready to play and I'm happily confused about which one I should start with. I'm thinking maybe Witcher 2, since it wouldn't play on my old Acer.

But now I can play anything. ANYTHING!!! This baby can handle it. Bwahahahahahahaha...... grin

Yes, I really do miss Our Favourite Hunk Hero, so Witcher 2 it might have to be.

I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

I will keep my lips zipped, but I'm curious to hear what you think of Our Favourite Hunk Hero.

Okay, I'm blasting my way through. Last time I tried to play this game my computer really wasn't quite up to it, just slow enough to make the game unpleasant to play. The loading took forever, so I gave up in the end, not very far along. It just wasn't happening. But this time... kissy

Edit: Oh, and I also started the new Thief game, very briefly. Well, it's not the Garret I know and love, but sort of a dumbed-down version of him, his less talented younger brother maybe, not so bright and not so quick. But I tried it on Normal. I guess I need to use one of the harder settings. It's fun, but hmmmmmm is it Thief? Not sure. Looks absolutely beautiful, though.

He's got his work cut out for him...

I don't approve of not being able to make choices about where to jump and climb. My first impression is that by removing that capability, the developers took away a huge part of what made Thief so endlessly playable. So we'll see how I feel after a while.

Of course Thief 3 had already curtailed those things, and I still liked the game. I just didn't like it as much as the originals.
