Hi Folks
I would love to chat with someone about this delightful game.
And its beautiful, but very frustrating Tower Puzzle.
I played it 6 years ago, and was bumped past the problem by a very helpful youse.
I had travelled on a for a bit, but then my machine was destroyed.
Now I am replaying the game, and I'm stuck again. Har !
I am using the walkthrough by MaGtRo, and it has served me well then and now.
I would like to talk about the telescopes, before I ask for a save.
Can't believe I could still logon after all these years !
Any yack ?

Cheers
Robert

The tower door was tricky Robert, but if you look at the picture in the walk thru and follow it carefully you will open the door. Good Luck! It is a challenging game!

Thanks, Gerry.

Robar,

Glad to see you back. Don't be a stranger.

Here's a step by step posted by Judy.
Standing in front of the ramp with the two telescopes,go to the first telescope on the left (the 2 telescopes will be done last). Looking in this telescope put the blue filter on the left by green rock. Continue left. the second telescope put blue on left. Continue left. Third telescope put blue on left. Fourth telescope blue on left by brown & green rocks. Fifth telescope blue on left by brown & green with white rocks. Sixth telescope blue on left by green & red/purple & white rock. Seventh telescope blue on left by same colored rocks. Ramp with 2 telescopes: the one on the left put blue on right by rocks. the right telescope put blue on the left by rocks.

luck

Hi Gerry !

Thanks for the encouragement.
Did I send you a copy of RealMyst years ago?

Cheers

Hi MaG !

Yes it's been years. Glad to be back. Thanks for your quick reply.

I have followed Judith's solution very carefully many times. No go.
I suspect that something is not right with the game I have loaded.
Someone mentioned that some copies of this game were glitched.(?)

The telescopes do not seem to be functioning properly.
After inserting the 1st filter, it pops out when I insert the 2nd one.
Also when I click on the telescope, a black square appears behind it.
I have to click again to get magnifaction, and the filters are both out.
That square looks a lot like one that appeared in another game I was playing called Aura.
It was a game malfunction, corrected by reinstalling the game and starting over.

When I traverse the ramp without touching the telescopes, each gate has a red 'rust' stain on the gate deck on the left (not on the 'path'), except the last one. When I work the scopes as best I can, that stain is moved to the right onto the 'path'.

It's not actually a hard puzzle, the hard part is how to operate the scopes. I've got the order down, but the filters have me knashing my teeth and rending my garment !
Any thoughts? Do I need a 'save'?

Cheers
Robert

Yes Robert you did send me RealMyst! You have an excellent memory. Don't be a stranger on GB. I had trouble with the towers because I kept reversing one filter. Maybe it's time for a saved game. Sorry I don't have one. Good Luck with the game. wave

Thank you, thank you and thank you.
I'm deep further in! And having an eye candy ball!

For 6 years I wondered what the rest of the game would look like.
Now I am finding out. The scenery is getting ever more gorgeuos.

Ya fixed me up!
Again..!
Thank you!

Cheers
Robert

A gentle reminder that any non-hints-related chat should be posted over at Discussions forum. Unless you opt for PM, of course! laugh thanks

Thanks Rushes. Robert all you have to do to send a PM is click on the name (Kaki's Sister) or the name of whoever you wished to PM. A little box will open click on the 2nd item (send a PM). Write your post and click submit in the left bottom corner. It's that easy. Hope this helps.

Hi Gerry

Nice to chat with you after all these years. How have you been?
I haven't played any games since then. ...until awhile ago.
I built a new super machine a couple of years ago, and decided to install my old game collection for fun.
The results were surprising. Some of the old games ran perfectly. Alas, some didn't. - Riven, Nautilus.
I set out to carefully play all of them again, all the way through. ...starting with the Myst. All of them.
I was pleasantly surprised at how MUCH I'd forgotten. That made them almost fresh!
URU is the supreme pinicle of this type of game. I spent months 'lost' in it. Whoa..!
The two Aura Games were next. Both absolutely gorgeous. (I learned how to take pictures of this game.)
I've saved them as .jpgs Then I tackled the formidable Mysterious Journey II. It was a first rate game.
Getting through it put me in contact with youse at GB. Again. After 6 years, with your help I got to the end.
I just finished Cleopatra. Delightful!

Blah blah..! What have you been playing? Is there anything new out there?
Methinks I should go to bed...

Cheers
Robert

Hi Robert,

Please, anything that's non-hint-related needs to be either posted over at Discussions forum, or PM'd to Gerry as you've both mentioned here. Thanks. smile
