I see that the more recent Mahjong games have not received very favourable reviews, one of which came out recently described as "the same old"!

On 12 March 2008 I downloaded Mahjong Towers Eternity from BigFishGames and have never looked back.

In addition to many games which come with the original download, you are able to download many other games of varying difficulty. I downloaded the most difficult which, at that time I believe numbered about 50. There are over a quarter million additional games that can be downloaded.

I have only completed about half of the difficult games I downloaded and have played them over and over to try and beat them. One such game is entitled 'Elect-Tile' which contains some 750 tiles to clear, which is the norm for the most difficult. The software keeps a tally of how many times you play each game and the success rate. During the past 6 years I have attempted to beat Elect-Tile on 3081 occasions but have not succeeded! The closest I have come to clearing the board with this game is 50 tiles left! Worldwide there have been 35,350 attempts with only 17 completes.

I'll definitely give it a try, Bernie - it sounds great. Would you believe I got Towers of Eternity with a free game code a few years ago and I still haven't even downloaded it, let alone played it? So, I will be sure to download it for future play.

Will give it try. A fav of mine is Mahjong Investigation - Under Suspicion. I wished they had made a sequel.

I'll have to give Mahjong Investigation a try - it sounds fun.
