This looks absolutely great to me, Sharon! That 600 watt power supply will be just fine. Hope you can order it soon!

Gardens put to bed for the winter. Time for some gaming!

Thanks for this thread that I have come to somewhat belatedly. I am a tiny boomer in a big boomer world here and for now am catching up on older games. In my personal quque I have: The Real Myst, Still Life, Syberia, House of 1000 Doors Family Secrets; my want list is: several Sherlock Homles, everything upcoming in the Last Crown-Dark Fall-and Shadow Tor groups , Old Tex Murphys, the new Tex Murphy, Rhiannon. I am way out of touch with hardware and for software have been happy with XP for years but if I read the thread correctly: when I upgrade I want to go with Windows 7 Pro 64bit and any of the hardware systems discussed. If I graduate to RPGs or current games, Win 7 Pro will hold me well. Did I understand this right?

We'll outgrow the walk-throughs, yeah, we really will.

Double check with Jenny, but I think you want the 64 bit Home Premium not the Pro.

Geo is right. Either would work for games, but Home Premium costs less money

Check the Wikipedia about Windows 7 at
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_7_editions
and scroll down to the Comparison Chart.

Unless you're going to need any of those things that Windows 7 Pro has and that Windows 7 does not, Windows 7 Home should suit your needs and costs less money. Things like joining a domain and Group Policy are more useful in businesses that use Servers.
