I'm seeing about 7GB worth of install files to download (not including "extras").
Is that about the size of what you downloaded?

I never downloaded Episode 1, so I don't know if it was 7GB in size or not.
If Episode 1 was around 3 or 4 GB, then the current download (7GB) should be the complete game.
If Episode 1 was 7GB, then the current download may not be updated and may not include Episode 2.

You might take a look at the thread "Broken Sword 5 – the Serpent’s Curse: Episode Two now available on Steam, GOG.com and Get Games" on the Adventure Discussions Board.

I've found out some stuff and posted it there - which could just be helpful to you, maggsie smile

maggsie,

Have you tried clicking on your desktop icon and playing past your last save?

Gil.

Hi Gil, and other fellow Boomers.
I too just downloaded the full version from GOG which contains 7 gigs. HOWEVER, I had deleted the original EPISODE 1 (along with it's "saves") BEFORE installing the FULL 2 episodes, so I had to play Episode 1 ALL over in order to "get into" Episode 2. No big deal since I enjoyed Episode 1 AGAIN, anyhow. Now I'm just "getting into" Episode 2 and enjoying it. I hope YOU will, TOO.

It's a lot more interesting than the first part and faster moving anyway!

Gil.

So is the solution to the problem to uninstall Episode 1 before installing the current GOG version? Or do you also have to avoid using your old saves from Episode 1?

There appear to be "options", Jenny100.

One is to back up your old saves from playing part one, then uninstall part one completely. Then install the "whole" game that's just been released and use your old saves with that.

Or

Uninstall and install (as just described) but get and use the saved games offered by Revolution.
