It seemed the world was divided into good and bad people. The good ones slept better... while the bad ones seemed to enjoy the waking hours much more.

Jails and Nursing Homes

Here's the way it should be:

Let's put the seniors in jail and the criminals in nursing homes.

This would correct two things in one motion:

Seniors would have access to showers, hobbies and walks.
They would receive unlimited free prescriptions, dental and medical treatment, wheel chairs, etc.
They would receive money instead of having to pay it out.
They would have constant video monitoring, so they would be helped instantly if they fell or needed assistance.
Bedding would be washed twice a week and all clothing would be ironed and returned to them.
A guard would check on them every 20 minutes.
All meals and snacks would be brought to them
They would have family visits in a suite built for that purpose.
They would have access to a library, weight/fitness room, spiritual counseling, a pool and education...and free admission to in-house concerts by nationally
recognized entertainment artists.
Simple clothing - ie., shoes, slippers, pj's - and legal aid would be free, upon request.
There would be private, secure rooms provided for all with an outdoor exercise yard complete with gardens.
Each senior would have a P.C., T.V., phone and radio in their room at no cost.
They would receive daily phone calls.
There would be a board of directors to hear any complaints and the ACLU would fight for their rights and protection.
The guards would have a code of conduct to be strictly adhered to, with attorneys available, at no charge to protect the seniors and their families from abuse or neglect.

As for the criminals:

They would receive cold food.
They would be left alone and unsupervised. They would receive showers once a week.
They would live in tiny rooms, for which they would have to pay $5,000+ per month.
They would have no hope of ever getting out. "Sounds like justice to me!"

Penguins

Did you ever wonder why there are no dead penguins
on the ice in Antarctica - where do they go ?

Wonder no more ! ! !

It is a known fact that the penguin is a very ritualistic
bird which lives an extremely ordered and complex life.

The penguin is very committed to its family and will
mate for life, as well as maintaining a form of
compassionate contact with its offspring throughout its life.

If a penguin is found dead on the ice surface, other
members of the family and social circle have been
known to dig holes in the ice, using their vestigial
wings and beaks, until the hole is deep enough for
the dead bird to be rolled into and buried.
The male penguins then gather in a circle
around the fresh grave and sing:

"Freeze a jolly good fellow"

"Freeze a jolly good fellow."

"Then they kick him in the ice hole." haha

You really didn't believe that I know
anything about penguins, did you?

A Real Man

A real man is a woman's best friend. He will
never stand her up and never let her down.
He will reassure her when she feels insecure
and comfort her after a bad day.

He will inspire her to do things she never
thought she could do; to live without fear
and forget regret. He will enable her to
express her deepest emotions and give in to
her most intimate desires. He will make sure
she always feels as though she's the most
beautiful woman in the room and will enable
her to be the most confident, sexy,
seductive, and invincible.

No wait... sorry... I'm thinking of wine.
Never mind.

Father Murphy walks into a pub in Donegal, and asks the first man he meets, 'Do you want to go to heaven?'

The man said, 'I do, Father.'

The priest said, 'Then stand over there against the wall.'

Then the priest asked the second man, 'Do you want to go to heaven?'

'Certainly, Father,' the man replied..

'Then stand over there against the wall,' said the priest.

Then Father Murphy walked up to O'Toole and asked, 'Do you want to go to heaven?'

O'Toole said, 'No, I don't Father.'

The priest said, 'I don't believe this. You mean to tell me that when you die you don't want to go to heaven?'

O'Toole said, 'Oh, when I die, yes. I thought you were getting a group together to go right now.'

Paddy was driving down the street in a sweat because he had an important meeting and couldn't find a parking place. Looking up to heaven he said, 'Lord take pity on me. If you find me a parking place I will go to Mass every Sunday for the rest of me life and give up me Irish Whiskey!'

Miraculously, a parking place appeared.

Paddy looked up again and said, 'Never mind, I found one.'
~~~~~~~~~~~
Paddy was in New York .
He was patiently waiting and watching the traffic cop on a busy street crossing. The cop stopped the flow of traffic and shouted, 'Okay, pedestrians...' Then he'd allow the traffic to pass.
He'd done this several times, and Paddy still stood on the sidewalk.
After the cop had shouted, 'Pedestrians!' for the tenth time, Paddy went over to him and said, 'Is it not about time ye let the Catholics across?'
Gallagher opened the morning newspaper and was dumbfounded to read in the obituary column that he had died. He quickly phoned his best friend, Finney.
'Did you see the paper?' asked Gallagher. 'They say I died!!'
'Yes, I saw it!' replied Finney. 'Where are ye callin' from?'
An Irish priest is driving down to New York and gets stopped for speeding in Connecticut .. The state trooper smells alcohol on the priest's breath and then sees an empty wine bottle on the floor of the car.
He says, 'Sir, have you been drinking?'
'Just water,' says the priest.
The trooper says, 'Then why do I smell wine?'
The priest looks at the bottle and says, 'Good Lord! He's done it again!'
~~~~~~~~~~~

Walking into the bar, Mike said to Charlie the bartender, 'Pour me a stiff one - just had another fight with the little woman.'

'Oh yeah?' said Charlie, 'And how did this one end?'

'When it was over,' Mike replied, 'She came to me on her hands and knees.'

'Really,' said Charles, 'Now that's a switch! What did she say?'

She said, 'Come out from under the bed, you little chicken.'

Found the perfect sized rug for my spare room yesterday! Just dumb luck. Have been looking for a 5x7 rug for months, and they are all NOT 5x7's but more like 5x8's or 6x9's etc. So Big Lots had a closeout sale and lo and behold, there was ONE 5x7 perfect color just waiting for me. Wheeeee. Took a long time to move the old huge one out from under stuff (loads of heavy oak furniture in there and an old trunk filled with linens), but with the help of my neighbor/friend and the bribe of a nice Ham Torpedo from our favorite Italian place, he helped me pull the last bit of rug from under the armoire and huge heavy chest. Was a chore. I thought he was going to pass out or have a heart attack. Not an easy job.

Anyway, I sent him home to rest, put the new smaller rug down and the whole room is looking so much better. SMELLS better too. Got the old 'cat smell' rug out and mopped the hardwood floor before putting the new rug in. Ahhhh, it's great.

Now if I can just find a pale ivory and blue one for my bedroom, life would be perfect. thumbsup

Good morning boomies! I got up and my network was down and couldn't get on. It also meant I couldn't work because the game I am writing for is an Ipad game and I need access to the internet for it. Panic mode set in but thankfully hubby was here and got me up and running. hearts

When he gets home from running errands I will go run the dogs at the river. There are a dozen friends, hubby and I heading out to see a band play tonight. Should be a fun time!

Joe, are you feeling better today? hearts

Haroula, do you have an Easter Egg hunt for junior? That was always my favorite.

Karen, Sue, Gerry and Gail, enjoy your day!

Connie, I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers this weekend. hearts

SpaceQ, any special weekend plans?

Midgie, hope the hair turns out exactly as you want.

Nan, is the snow melting?

Sorta, glad you were able to get help with the furniture. Have a great day!

Top o' the mornin' to ye. Great to see all the smiling faces.
Looks to be everyone is having a busy day, as will I. Need to do's - mow, trim, cut branches, pull weeds, (won't spray because of the dogs; they especially like to pull up the dandelions and eat the roots, of course they prefer if I dig them up for them)
Anyway, it's a hi-ho and off to work I go.
May all have a wonderful day.

Beauty day again -Spring is here for good yippee!!! I took all my recycles to the collection place, wow, there was alot especially those 54 cent fancy feast cans. The garage looks bare now OK.

I'm depressed, crestfallen, despondent etc. today because............my playstation 4 won't work. Curses. It's a certain shooter. Amazon warned us about it but all the more to play it. And I ignored freezes and irratic behavour from guns and my hero and perservierd then clunko!! no game-ee. But I will wrap it up and if 2 of my grandaughters can fix it they can have it. They are super mechanical. If they don't want it I'll pay them and somebody in the family will welcome it. Talk about withdrawel - this is worse than the time I gave up sugar. So until Amazon sends a new one and fancy controller, it's back to PS3 -Doom 3 and Killzone 2.

Long talk with my cousin in Niagara Falls, NY. I get quite homesick but wouldn't trade this TX weather for theirs that's for sure.

Anyway happy Saturday alol

Good evening boomies! I'm heading out with hubby for a night of singing and dancing to the oldies. It should be a great time.

TRippy, how are the pups doing? If they want to pull up dandelions please send them over. Although if I got rid of my weeds in the backyard I'd have nothing at all. rotfl

manxman, hope your SAturday was a great one!

Home from work and now seeing what's on TV before I go to bed. A couple of religious shows The Ten commandments is on ABC but I was looking for something older and more not so spectacular, I found The Robe. An older movie but I liked it better.
I have to work in the morning but will have time to go to church, I hope. I wanted to go to the midnight mass but I wouldn't get enough sleep for my 8:00 shift in the morning, or the sunrise service, so I'll try to make the 11:30 mass. I wish everyone a Happy Easter tomorrow. See you in the morning.
