This is decision day. The team of doctors will decide whether or not she is a candidate for a liver transplant. If she is, it is still a long procedure.

Drac, she is in St. Louis University Hospital.

Gonna be a long day. May not even find out until tomorrow. Don't know.

Oh yeah, and on top of that if she can get a liver transplant, she will also need a kidney transplant.

Good to know she is at SLU Hospital. Let's hope they come up with a plan ASAP. I'm sure this hanging in limbo is frustrating.

She is having a lot of belly pain. Took her for a CT scan to see if they can find out why.

I have been reading to keep my mind busy. Great series by Ted Dekker. Just finished 'Chosen" and downloaded "Infidel".

Susie did not qualify, so it will just be a matter of time.

Crud! I have to say that I'm shocked. What do you mean by a matter of time - time to wait until she is eligible for a transplant?

Oh Bets what awful news. Did they give a reason? Please ask, someone in the family should have a right to know.
Sending hugs and prayers.

A colleague of mine had a liver transplant and while performing the procedure they found out she had pancreatitis. If they had known beforehand she wouldn't have been eligible for the transplant.

Oh Bets, I'm totally shocked and so very sorry. This all happened so fast. Isn't Susie a doctor or something herself? There are such things as living liver transplants where only a part of the liver of the healthy person is removed I think, but it's usually within families. Prayers and hugs to you and your family.
Andrea
