You solve these Word Ladders by changing one letter in the first word to form a new word and then repeat the process until you spell the ending word. The number of letter-change moves it took me follows each clue ...can you do it in less? ...I'll bet some of you can do it in less moves Example: To change Mice into Rats I made 4 moves... mice - 1-> mi te - 2-> m ate - 3-> mat s - 4-> rats = 1. note --> nets [4] = 2. tack --> thru [4] 3. honor --> colon [4] = 4. foams --> plume [4] = 5. gang --> nixe [5] = 6. cars --> onus [5] = 7. limp --> hops [6] = 8. junk --> more [6] = 9. grab --> rind [7] = 10. reek --> camp [7]

1. note, rote, rots, rets, nets ...or if you allow computer speak: note, nots, nets in this case a "not" is a boolean operator and it could make sense (maybe a small stretch) to talk about multiple "nots".
Bob As I've grown older, I've found that my memory is not as good as I used to think it was.

4. foams, flams, flame, flume, plume
Sometimes lost is where you need to be. Just because you don't know your direction doesn't mean you don't have one.
