Hi Robert, this is according to MaG's walkthrough:

Quote:
Inventory is shown at middle of the bottom bar. Items can be combined by selecting an item, take out of the inventory bar and clicking it on another item in the inventory bar or on another item on the game screen.

Best to examine the suitcase first.
Then take the cable from inventory (if it is there) and then click it on the suitcase in the rubble.

Hi Robert, if the batteries are no longer in your inventory after having combined them with the keyboard, then I imagine you can assume that you did this correctly. wave

Robert,

Marian posted how to combine items: Items can be combined by selecting an item, take out of the inventory bar and clicking it on another item in the inventory bar

So try this:
- Click-hold batteries in inventory.
- While holding move batteries out of inventory.
- Then go back in inventory bar.
- Click batteries on the keyboard.

According to MaG's walkthrough:

Quote:
Star - shows the different points in the game. This is the autosave and load feature of the game.

Click on a picture and load that scene. The game autosaves at certain points in the game.

Can you click on the Star and find a scene that represents an area close to where you were in the game before, and load that scene?

I don't think the autosaved feature can be turned off. If I recall correctly, it autosaves at start of chapters. It is a feature that will help you if you forget or need to replay.
If you really want to remove them:
- check if there is a "delete" feature on that saved game.
- manually delete the file in the saved game folder. I cannot remember where the folder is located at the moment.

Hi robert, have you switched on the Jacuzzi and used the swim goggles when it's running to see if you find anything of interest?

Sorry, robert - I think I may have been confused about where you were exactly in the game. Let me take a look at the walkthrough again and see if I can get some info for you.

Did you try using the fountain pen on the back of the painting that is covering the safe?

If I remember correctly - you click on that painting left of the bathroom door and see a safe.
You cannot open it until you get a key.

To get the key: you have to get an envelope from the desk clerk.
To get the envelope: you have to give him 2 code words.
To get the 2 code words:
- you have to work to get steam and read a word on the bathroom mirror.
- you have to use a cutout paper on Eiffel tower.
Then you get the envelope and get some words that you need to know the meaning of.
- you do this by calling Henry.
- Henry gives info that you can use to deduce the location of a hiding place.
- the hiding place has the key that opens the safe.
