I had been enjoying BS 4 up to this point, in spite of the character movement being 'clunky' at best, as the perspective keeps changing and I'm constantly walking into walls, or moving backward and forward as I try to make George go where I want. Now I'm at the timed sequence where George has to get a chunk of ice, and make his way back through the warehouse & climb on a forklift. I've made repeated attempts and don't even get close to where I need to be before the ice melts! If I knew this in advance, I probably would have skipped BS4 and moved right on to BS5!
So , unless somebody has a hint on how to solve this, I have a request and a question.
A. Does anybody have a saved game from right after this puzzle? (though I assume I'll miss the cut scene that occurs right after George uses the ice)?
B. Are there any other frustrating timed sequences in this game?
Thanks, Louis

Hang in there I'll take a look to see if I have a save. It has been a long time since I played this game. *Edit* Save sent but it is a bit beyond where you are. Location is at the Bail Bonds office after you study the manuscript and just before another nasty puzzle.

There are also a bunch of saved games here for this game; you can look through them and see if one of them will work for you.

According to MaG's walkthrough: The mouse wheel forward makes the character run; mouse wheel backward returns to walk. If using the keyboard, the arrow keys will move the character to those directions. The left CTRL key will make the character run.

Ok, BS4 is officially the most frustrating game I've played EVER! Not the puzzles , but the game navigation and interface is so bad I almost wish I'd skipped it altogether!
I finally, after following the walkthrough got to the map, and had George translate all the latin, now how on gods earth do I exit the darn thing? Ive actually left the computer stuck at that point since it wont let me save, and I don't want to lose my progress, I've tried moving the cursor everywhere and I don't see any darned exit!
Im about to throw in the towel an wipe this abomination from my hard drive!

Hi Louis, I merged your two threads for this game. Have you done everything necessary at this point? I'm wondering if that's why you're unable to leave the area. Have you stood on Acre, London, Paris and Cyprus? Did you pick up the cherub? Did you then 'click the arrows on the central stand so that it points to left to Constantinople and press down arrow (hear a click). Then get the stand to point down to Rome and then press down arrow. Lastly, get the stand to point right to Alexandria and then press down arrow.' ?

Hi Rushes, Thanks for merging those , and sorry for letting my frustration show ! One thing that helped with my earlier problem getting the ice to the vent in time was learning how to make George run! Somehow the wheel on my mouse doesn't have that effect, but the left Ctrl button did the trick, and I was able to solve that part. As for the manuscript (map) I think I've clicked on all areas in Latin that George translates, and on the images, Fleur De Lis, Castles, etc. Maybe I missed something which is why I can't exit this screen. I'll go back and take a look. I don't know what Cherub you're referring to, maybe I'm not looking at the same document you're talking about? This is the manuscript George got from the warehouse office, after opening the safe in the 'bone crusher'. Thanks Again Louis
