This is such a stupid question: how do you install a GOG game? I've done it before, but at my age one forgets what happened yesterday. I downloaded the two games I bought today, downloaded them, but now I can't figure out how to start them. I can't find them in my program files, I keep clicking on everything in my account but nothing. I have other games from GOG and I run them, so can someone take pity and tell me what I'm doing wrong. Thanks
Fil

My answer is a bit different and I also have Windows 7.
GOG creates a folder in My Documents called GOG.com Downloads. Every game I download from GOG finds its way in there before I install it, each in its own folder. I just open a game folder then and click on Setup_(name of game).
Take a look in My Documents, fildil, see if yours are also there.
Gil.

I'll bet you tell the GOG downloader to install a game when you download it, Marian. That way, there's no reason for you to go hunting in My Docs for the Setup. Or do you? That's also where the goodies go that you dl with the game, so...I'm probably wrong. AS usual. Gil.

Thanks everybody, this is what I did. After the game downloaded I noticed a little plus sign. I clicked this and then got the install game screen. I did check in the folders and I couldn't find the downloads.

Fil,
Did you use the GOG downloader or download with your browser? I'm unfamiliar with a little plus sign to click on.
What folders did you check? Did you look for the GOG.com Downloads folder in My Documents? If you did, did you look for the game folder in that? The only file you need to click on there is the one that says Setup.
Gil.

traveler, I did find the GOG downloads folder in My Documents. I never thought of looking for them there. And I did download the GOG downloader so I assume that's what was used.

Yes I did. Now I have Sanitarium and Neverwinter Nights Diamond Collection installed on my computer but I'll have to wait until next week to play them because of a big family weekend. I can't wait. Oh! I made a mistake before, it wasn't a plus sign, it was a little magnifying glass.

Great! I'm glad you found the files and got the games installed, fildil. Now all you have to figure out is which you're going to play first. Gil.
