Tom's a bit early this week - we're off to a 60th birthday bash in Oxford shortly (not mine - I can't remember that far back) and I suspect that the temptation of falling straight into bed when we get back might prove too much. grin

More Tom Swifties.(For example "I'll have a martini," said Tom, drily.) As ever, grovelling apologies for any re-runs.

Some of these are very clever and quite tough, so being all heart, I've given you first letter and length as a starter grin·

-1. "Now all I have to do for this banknote is engrave the portrait", Tom f----- a----.
-2. "I hope every little bit of you is in pain", said Tom h--------.
-3. "This suit is all crumpled - I'll have to iron it again," Tom said r-----------.
-4. "I will think on it," said Tom p----------.
-5. "Someone's playing a chromatic half-step too high," said Tom s------.
-6. "I prefer an automatic transmission for my car," said Tom s----------.
-7. "Went to the races - my choice came last," Tom e-------.
-8. "This must be the high-voltage lead," said Tom c------.
-9. "I'm mentioned in this book," said Tom c----------.
-10. "I brought the dessert," said Tom p------.

I wonder what's on television...?

Hi Rog.

If you can't dance, don't blame the dance floor.

Bob
As I've grown older, I've found that my memory is not as good as I used to think it was.

The best math you can learn is how to calculate the future cost of current decisions.

OK - all the food and booze now but a (hazy) memory... sad

A perfect set, possibly in record time! praise

I guess no more Mr Nice Guy... evil
