It sounds like you may be running integrated graphics (e.g. an intel GPU) - the game seems to have a number of issues with them. So far there've been no patches to address that one.

dear sir.
you are the one who looks to be correct
my vedio card is,chip type,(intel(R)HD graphics familiy
dac type,(internal),memory size,(1024MB)
system ram,(2922MB),in short words,i have at least close
to 50 games installed on my computer, the majority works
fine, some close to fine, but NONE NOT WORKING at all
i dont wonder on this, since this game just came out
wich in most cases,it takes for the company another 6 months
to listen to most problems, then try to make a fix,i searched
with google, most complain the same thing,to me it looks
that the company, released the game too early, they pushed it
out, anyway who ever can help me,i thank him in advance

We still still don't know which Intel card you have; that information would be helpful.

What I read on the Tesla forums about folks with Intel cards is that the game does support some of them but that you need to make sure that your drivers are updated. Also, if you have an NVIDIA card, to go to the NVIDIA control panel and make sure that you are telling it to use the dedicated video memory rather than the integrated video memory.

From Samuel's description, it sounds like he has Intel graphics integrated in his CPU/processor. Unless this is a very high end CPU, it will not be adequate to run this game. Samuel, if you can give us more information about your processor and your computer, we might be able to help you.

However, it sounds like your computer is NOT adequate to run this particular game. It was not released too early - your computer simply may not have a good enough graphics card or chip to run it.

Samuel, the Intel HD graphics 2000 is integrated on the Core i3 CPU, not on the motherboard. This graphics chip is fine for video, surfing and email, but is very low end for gaming.

You do have one PCIe X16 slot for a video card upgrade, but depending on your country, you may only have a 300 watt power supply which would probably also need to be upgraded. You wouldn't want to put much of a card in this case though as it is a mini-tower and has no cooling at all except for one small exhaust fan.

You also have XP which is no longer supported by Microsoft, so there is not much point in spending a lot of money on this older computer. Adding RAM won't help either if you already have 2 GB as this version of XP does not recognize any more that a bit more than 3.5 GB of RAM.

To be honest, a new computer is your best solution if you want to be able to play new games. But if you simply can't afford one, there might be a small upgrade you can do - I'm not sure it would be worth it though.

Maybe Jenny or Inland will have more suggestions for you.

There are several low-power cards that may work, but none of them offer much in the way of performance. Also, the recommended system RAM for the game is 4GB, which you don't have.

If you're interested in looking at the cards, look for something along these lines - GT640 GDDR5

Considering the cost, I'd probably opt for a new PC.

dear helping people.
i decided not to buy a new computer, for a simple reason
most of my games, installed are only for winxp, also win 95
also ms-dos games,a bunch i got from,(gog.com),the rest
i bought long long ago,and i wil NOT drop all or most of this games, for the newer games, altough the newer games
are wonderfull, and from this games i also have, but most
of them work fine,a few sometimes work sometimes not,so i
feel its not worth, also on my dell coputer i bought it
a year and a half ago,it was loaded with WIN 7,but it gave
me too much problems all around, thats why i went back to
WIN xp,i am not interested if microsoft is not supporting
it,because i am very happy,with what i have on,win xp
there is only 1 question i have,i spoke with dell, they gave
me 2 options, for video cards, wich are compatible with me
1),(amd radeon hd6450),drawback it has only 1GB ram
2),(PNY nvidia geforce gt630),this has 2GB ram,so my
quetion is,lets say i install a video card,will it make a
differnce to me ? will anything improve ?
i thank in advance,samuel schwartz

If you value all your game installations on this computer, I would suggest thinking about taking this computer off the internet. No more support for XP means it is no longer receiving security updates. Depends on how big of a risk taker you are. I took my old XP computer off the internet a couple of months before the end of life for XP.

Here is one review of the Raedon 6450 from PC Magazine. It also mentioned it had low power requirements, so depending on what your power supply is, you may not need to upgrade it. You really need to find out the wattage of your power supply.

Pros: Better than integrated graphics. Requires only one PCIe slot.
Cons: Useless for 3D gaming. Similarly inexpensive cards are slightly better performers.
Bottom Line: If all you want or need is an inexpensive video card to replace your PC's integrated graphics, then the AMD Radeon HD 6450 does the job. But that's about all it does.

The GT 630 is also a very low end video card, but has low power requirements. It does require a minimum 300 watt power supply, so make sure your power supply meets that spec. If I had to lean towards one of these cards, it would be the GT 630.

Neither are very good, but probably better than what you have. You still only have 2 GB of RAM and your version of XP won't recognize more than about 3.5 GB of RAM, so that's a problem you can't solve as long as you're using XP.

As I also mentioned above, you have a mini-tower PC which only has one 80mm exhaust fan. Be very careful what else you put in there as you have very poor cooling for doing a video card upgrade.

Samuel - buying a new pc doesn't mean you have to get rid of your old one. You can still keep it to play all your old games.
Just a thought.

I second that, oldbroad. I still use my 16 year old Win98 machine nearly every day and my 10 year old WinXP machine every day. And I wouldn't like to be without either laugh

[Although for the internet I mainly use my Win7 machine.]
