Does anyone know how to solder the circuits in the Roller Coaster Circuit box? I keep blowing up the park. Thanks, Susan

Hi Susan, I have this game sitting infront of me for 2 days - gotta install it sometime. This is what the guide states: . . . . . . . . . . . 1. review the handbook that Ingrid gave on sections 'circuits' and 'soldering'. 2. Read the note left by Nick inside the reader cover. 3. Take the 5 OHM resistor from your inventory and insert it into the right side of the circuit board. 4. Use solder gun to solder the wires leading to the 10 OHM resistor (since Nick's not states - need 15 OHMS) and to the switch in the upper left corner. ---- Do not solder anything else on the board. 5. Flip the switch to on. MaG

Thanks Mag, It Worked. Now I'm trying to find two combination #'s. One inside the carousel and one for Harlans locker. I am patiently awaiting your WT. Susan

Linds, both combinations numbers will be close (same area) to where you need them. Not sure if you're actually asking for locations, so yell if you can't find them.

Thanks Mag. I know what you mean about Barnacle. It took me about 15 tries to get the second level. Good Luck. Susan

Hi Susan, Dowel making- The way I did this is: 1. by placing the broken dowel by the ruler at opposite end of the room from the lathe. 2. Made note of where the start-end of the thin portion of the dowel is situated - If I remember right at 3 and ~10 or 11 - please check the end part. 3. Then tested which controls on the lathe works for what. a. After using goggles, click the unprepared dowel on the on/off part of lathe at left side - dowel inserted then. b. The needle/saw at center can be moved right-left. Place the needle/saw at position 3. b. Then adjust the switch on the right for the correct depth of the saw/needle. Left - not touching, middle - slight groove made and the right setting is the deepest cuts. ---- So use the deepest-rightmost setting. ---- Cut this way moving the saw going to the right. ---- Then note that the original broken dowel has a small shallower cut at right end. ---- Adjust the depth of the cut to the middle setting on the right switch, the position of the saw to the rightmost part and make that shallow cut. This should make a dowel Nancy will approve of. MaG

Hi HST, To make Harlan disappear: You should know about jewel theft by looking at the newspaper clipping on wall of the office. Know from the detective about the released cellmate of the jewel thief. Detective should have called you or call him. Ingrid: She will disappear when you try to get in the compartments in the carousel and you contact Tink. I think both of them will disappear when you start doing the riddles. MaG

Hi MaG, Got the dowel made. You are the best as always. I just wanted to let you know that the rightmost part with the slightly shallower end is made by the first setting- not the second. Thanks again, Susan

I am getting cross-eyed trying to write the notes down as the tissues blow for roll three at the carousel. Does someone know the notes? Thanks, Susan

omg there is a second level to the barnacle blaster game? I just came on line to see if I need the game because I doubt if I will ever get them all off......and now you say I must do another level if I ever get this first one? I understand I need the prize from this game to do something else? I mean I really HAVE to win this game right? Now I know why I don't like keyboard games..no hand/eye connection. I would have said hand/eye cooridination if I had known how to spell it.

Sorry, Doris--there is a second level and it's much harder than the first! I just finally got past that second level after two or three days of trying. What was really frustrating was losing with only one barnacle to go--and I did that an embarrassing number of times...

I got that first level almost right after your post. See how it helps to not feel like such an idiot? You are the greatest, really. I have tried every thing on that letter stuck up high and can't get it down. Is it possible for you to tell me without telling me???? Don't want much, do I?

Hi Doris, how about spending some of the tokens you had won from playing the games. One comes in handy for reaching in high places.

Hi looney, Once you're stuck on the rail, look up and see a panel on the wall. Open it and rewire the tracks to pass you by. . . . . . . . . . . . . . blue on top, red at middle and green at bottom. Then turn on power. Pizza looking are you now? MaG

I think I must have gotten electrocuted one too many times, I can not! get that dowel made! I put the rod in, set the thing to 3, put the needle at the deepest...and when I turn it on, it just cuts a big chunk right there! I must be missing something but what? Good Golly!!

Looney, if you'll move your cursor around that thing that cuts the wood (that you call the needle), you will get an arrow pointing to the right. You can use that to move the cutter along the dowel...

The goggles are to keep you from getting stuff thrown into your eyes, Looney. If you don't wear them, I think you get fired!
As for the arrow, try putting your cursor on the right side of that "needle" and moving it around a little bit at a time. The arrow is there to move it, after you cut the first piece out...

Okay, here's the scoop...I was trying to move the cutter myself! I didn't realize it was cut and move and cut and move! I think I'll still look at your thread MaG, just so I'll know if I was really being silly or what! Thanks for the help! Now, om to that exciting barnacle game...

Hey, I like recalling this game with you, looney. Have you read the magazone to left of the lathe machine at Elliot's place? It's that magazine that he won't let you read when he's around. That will give you another access to a person who knows all about Kessler. MaG

I read the posts and didn't find my question so I assume it is so easy I will be embarassed but here goes: I need something sticky for the papers on the pipes and I need a "third roll." Just a hint if that is possible. I finally got the barnacle blaster game...my grandson came to visit and I sat him down and told him he could get up after the 2nd level.....2 minutes later.....

I missed the tape too, Doris--take a very close look at the workbench in Ingrid's place.
As for the third roll, find the combination for that cabinet in the room inside the carousel...

Well, I haven't solved anything yet. Is the third roll actually a "third roll?" I have a paper music roll...do I actually need more that one or is it just called the "third roll?" Now..I seem to remember getting the tape from ingrids desk from the ---- but now I don't seem to have it. It was days ago. Can you tell me what it looks like in inventory? If I don't have it then how do I get Ingrid out so I can get it? (I know I am a pain)

Hey Doris! No pain no gain! Really tho...I know that the roll you need is labeled #3 in the cabinet that's in the carousel room.... The tape? Well I must be confused cuz I thought it was in Elliot's shop next to the measurer! I hope I helped some?

Doris, I am SO sorry--Looney is right, of course, the workbench with the tape is in Elliott's place, not Ingrid's. That's what comes of hurrying to answer (we had an electrical storm and I was trying to get finished so I could close down. The power went off twice!)
Richard, I have a bunch of saves for this game--I could send you one at the arcade and then you could follow Mags' advice and be sure to save before you try a game so you don't run out of cards. The only problem will be I may have done things you didn't, and not done things you did--you'd have to tell from what's in inventory.
Let me know if you want the save--it may be tomorrow before I could send it, because my granddaughter is spending the night and she needs to go to bed, which is in the computer room...

Ok, Richard--it's not really hard once you get the knack of tossing that squid, the main problem is the pain of having to use your card for every game. So if you save, you'll be in good shape. Then you get to play Barnacle Buster--oh joy...

Are you trying to get down into the room under the Haunted House, Yvonne? You have to go past the Spook, through the door to access it.
But if you're looking for the place to put Amelia's nickname, it's on the Spook's chest...

Did you win a brass ring riding on the carousel? Remember the riddle...

Ok, Yvonne, now you have to put it: SPOILER * * * * * * * * * * * * * * on the arm...

As soon as you get control again, go back up the stairs that are (I think) right behind you. It will bring you up by the Spook. Then: SPOILER * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * touch the brass ring on the arm and see what happens...
