Yes, but before you open it, and especially before you enter it, there are many things to do first. The reason is, when you finish in the Avian Lair and exit, a timer starts. If you have not done all the things you should have finished first, you will not have enough time to do them in addition to the jobs required while the timer is running.
Furthermore, if you have not yet opened it, the entrance is invisible. It is part of the flooring.
