I just bought a sofa bed to use when company comes to visit us and would like to stay over. I'm looking for sheets that, at most, will be used once, maybe twice a year. I can't seem to find any sheets made just for sofa beds, so I'm trying to find "flat"(not fitted)sheets that are not terribly expensive and that are not part of a "set" (I don't need the pillowcases, nor the fitted bottom sheets).

Can anyone suggest sites to find individual sheets, rather than sets?

Thanks.

I use a regular fitted sheet with good elastic and it works fine. They also do make sofa bed sheets, you can find them on Amazon or bed bath and beyond.

You can get just flat sheets here at Penney's.

Kohls sells them separate too.

Oh yep, the fitted sheets work the best. Try some thrift stores where they have 'old' sheets with NO deep pockets. I buy them for my regular bed which is a thin mattress. They snug tight and fit with no wrinkles. Would be great for a sofa bed thin mattress. The new deep pocket types just wrinkle and move and pull off my 7 inch thick mattress.

AND if you find one with semi-deep pockets, you can always add your own elastic 'all around' if you are a sewing person. I 'fitted' a sheet that was too big by using 1 inch elastic over the existing elastic at top and bottom. Fits great. Just a bit of work and you need a sewing machine and have to know how to do the 'stretch' when you sew the elastic.

If you are REALLY good at sewing, you can use a twin size flat sheet, cut a square out of each corner, (top point at top edge of mattress), sew the edges together and add elastic top and bottom. You can custom fit a sheet that way to fit exactly to your sofa bed. Easy to do but measuring is the fun part.

Good luck.

WARNING! This person is extremely blonde...please type SLOWLY.

Thanks for the suggestions and ideas. I found the individual sheets at Sears with a fair selection of patterns, and a sale! I appreciate your help.

P.S. Sorta Blonde: I can barely sew a button on a shirt; alterations of any kind are way beyond my skill level. smile
