An elderly woman went to her local doctor’s office and asked to speak with her doctor. When the receptionist asked why she was there, she replied, “I’d like to have some birth control pills.”

Taken back, the doctor thought for a minute and then said, “Excuse me, Mrs. Glenwood, but you’re 80 years old. What would you possibly need birth control pills for?”

The woman replied, “They help me sleep better.”

The doctor considered this for a second, and continued… “How in the world do birth control pills help you sleep?”

The woman said, “I put them in my granddaughter’s orange juice, and I sleep better at night.”

"Mister, why doesn't this cow have any horns?" asked the young lady from a nearby city. The farmer cocked his head for a moment, then began in a patient tone, "Well, ma'am, cattle can do a powerful lot of damage with horns. Sometimes we keep'em trimmed down with a hacksaw. Other times we can fix up the young 'uns by puttin' a couple drops of acid where their horns would grow in, and that stops 'em cold. Still, there are some breeds of cattle that never grow horns. But the reason this cow don't have no horns, ma'am, is 'cause it's a horse."

3 guys were riding in a car: a hardware technician, a systems analyst, and a programmer. The systems analyst is driving and when they come to a steep hill he finds that the brakes have failed and the car is accelerating out of control.

So, the driver pumps the emergency brake, downshifts the gears, and rubs the wheels' rims against the curb. He finally wrestles the car to a stop. The three climb out and assess the situation.

Hardware tech: "Let's try and fix it. I'll crawl under the car and take a look. "

Systems analyst: "No. I think we should get someone qualified to fix it, a specialist in brakes."

Programmer: "Why don't we just get back in and see if it happens again?"

"What time does the library open?" the man on the phone asked.
"Nine A.M." came the reply. "And what's the idea of calling me at home in the middle of the night to ask a question like that?"
"Not until nine A.M.?" the man asked in a disappointed voice.
"No, not till nine A.M.!" the librarian said. "Why do you want to get in before nine A.M.?"
"Who said I wanted to get in?" the man sighed sadly. "I want to get out."

Good morning everyboomer. welcome

Well it rained here through my entire work day and stopped shortly before I got off work.

It was still cloudy and cool, realetively speaking, until I got home. bravo

I put my boots on and headed out for a walk with Baby, and as I leave, the sun comes out to greet me, and it immediately starts to get steamy. shocked

We walked for about an hour and a half, by which time my freshness had worn completely off. slapforehead

I got back home soaking wet, and had to sit down and drink two big cups of ice water.

Then I had to fix dinner, eat, then shower.

Now here I am ready to greet the day clothed in a new suit of freshness........and little else at the moment. oops

Keep your eyes covered.

It ain't pretty.

If you do peak, try not to laugh...............too hard.

Ah, if I had a dollar for every wrinkle, and every age spot I'd have a very big grin on my face.

I have another early early day, so have a happy day everyone.

Good jokes today Joe (and everyday). Monica has been all over the news lately so I really laughed at that.

Penelope showed up at 8 am sharp. Walked up the driveway again before I noticed her stalking me. Guess we are getting into a 'routine'. Raccoons last night. Missed seeing them, but all the dry food was gone and all the grapes from Penelope's dish. I wonder if raccoons also like grapes or did Penelope have a late night snack without telling me? All the blueberries were still there and I made sure there were lots of grapes in case Penelope got here early. Hummmmm.

Gearing up for the 4th. Only 2 nights till the big bang. No one has played with the fireworks since last weekend, so I'm expecting a huge 'firefight'. I've got my hose ready just in case one lands on dry grass or a tree. It's bound to happen some day. We have passed the point of luck.

Off to find a cool spot. Weatherman says it's going to get HOT starting later today and be 10 degrees higher with high humidity for the 4th.

Good afternoon boomies! It's a work day today, that is all for me. Merlin is still whining about his leg if I don't give him pain meds so I grounded him again. He can go tomorrow. Happy 4th of July eve!

Started a laaa-deee-daaah day when horrors!!! there was a worm on the scratching post and it looked kinda like a roundworm -one of the most common cat parasites. It's Commander Buttons because he sleeps on that level. Well, I squashed him into the pet carrier and he vocally protested all the way -15 miles-. You know what a bengal howl sounds like. By the time we got to vets we were both frazzled and I didn't have the worm because I had flushed it down into the septic tank where it's being ground up -I hope. CmndrButtons got wormed and I brought home another wormer for Moira because she might..... It's so easy to worm them now, they are just like flea repellents -you put the meds between the shoulders. After some google research though it might have been a horsehair and they are from infected grasshoppers and we have many grasshoppers. I hope it's that.

I was going to clean house for tomorrow but maybe that won't happen. Sometimes my family surprises me with a truckload of fireworks on the 4th next year I'll clean for them. They'll all be hovering around the play station anyway.

So, all enjoy today and rest up for the fun tomorrow

Maybe it's just the power supply Midgie. Do you have it plugged into a surge protector? Big Hugs!
