Wonderful Wednesday ya'll puppy

Could not sleep last night so ended up sleeping in. Then up to feed me and the doggies and say good night to daughter. Boys will be here in a bit. Hot outside. Depending on what time they get here, we may go to the park as it's shaded, but with the temps feeling like the 100+ range, we shall see. wave

Good news, my sister's new 'beau' is coming along nicely. He's been moving his stuff into her house little by little and since he's a pack-rat she's been trying to get him to condense some of it. She's a neat, everything in it's place, person. So she writes that he's actually trying to work with that and wearing 'better' clothes, has ditched the suspenders PLUS belt routine, and is wearing manly shoes instead of whatever he was wearing. Dunno what she considers 'manly' but I guess he was living in the 70's clothwise. A woman's touch' and they both seem very very happy. Nice.

No Penelope again today. Getting worried she's gone or captured. Dunno. Maybe nesting somewhere. A few more days should tell.

Outdoorsie feeding table was overrun by ants today. My fault. Their usual 'decoy' food (mostly empty paper plates with bits of food that I put on the deck) were picked clean and they went for the obvious real food on the table. They find a table leg to crawl up, go around, up the vinyl tablecloth, around the edges and hit the real full plates of food. Smart ants. So I had to spray, brush, clean, move food dishes to another table for breakfast and it really messed up the minds of the cats who have a routine. They were still trying to figure it out an hour later. All ants now gone, food back in the right place. Maybe everyone will be happy. I did put some 'leavings' back in reach of the ant families so they should leave the good stuff for the cats and not have to do the mountain climbing routine. rotfl

Hi all, home from grocery shopping and guess what happened. While bopping along FM 696 into Elgin there in the road was an injured turtle.. Oh no!!! the vets don't take wild animals anymore so I'll take it home and let it alone in my emergency animal recovery container. And the truck behind me swerved to avoid running over it. So I turned around and drove back and.................

Joy Unspeakable

It turned out to be a clod of that sticky mud all bunched up to appear as a turtle. Whew. So with a happy and most light heart I shopped and shopped and........bought one of everything. but then I had to put all these nonesentials away. Think what it could have been though.

I hope Penelope is alright.

Happy Wednesday all

Yankee, we have saved a few turtles in the road here in the last couple weeks, including last night. It's egg laying time so they are on the roads traveling to dry ground. Glad yours was just a mud clump. lol Bless your heart for stopping!

Hi all. I just spent the better part of the afternoon with my computer tech trying to fix my computer but alas. There's no hope. My next stop is to Best By for a new laptop. Nothing elaborate. I should have done it a long time ago. Microsoft doesn't support Windows XP any longer so he couldn't reinstall what was needed to get it up and running. sad

I'm going to go eat something.

Midgie hearts

Just do it.

Headline: "Caring Woman Saves Clump of Mud from Certain Destruction". Love it Yankee! I'd have done the same. Always saving something. Good thing this one was not an injured turtle. Whew.

Penelope finally showed up after a day and a half. Dunno from where, but neighbor said she saw one of our little neighborhood kids running up her driveway and thinks Miss Penelope might have been just around the hedge coming my way. She showed up just a few minutes later. Seems lonely I think. Wish she had a mate. Maybe I should get a male Peacock. Did I just say that???? scared

Sister's next door neighbor in Washington, where they just legalized Pot has already obtained a license to grow for sale and has it already planted! Too bad Sis isn't a smoker. She would probably get 'free samples'. Just hope there aren't any 'looters' or the quiet neighborhood will soon be not so fun.

Sorta, you have a sense of humor. Maybe this crazy cat lady needs new glasses. I shall forever praise sticky lumps of brown clay.

Hey Midge, I'm in your corner -my refrigerator sounds kinda "lumpy" although it's still like 38 degrees.

Hey everybody. wave

I got home with enough time to eat and shower and then get ready for tomorrow. smirk

I was scheduled to get off at 6, but a customer that I helped a couple of hours earlier with a lawn mower belt came back to tell me it was too long, just before I was supposed to get off. I had looked up the manufacturer's diagram and specifications for the model number he gave me. It's pretty black and white. He called a neighbor who lived three miles from him and asked him to go look at the mower and see if there was a part number for the belt under the hood. Well it took this guy 30 minutes to drive 3 miles, and then they kept losing their phone connection, and finally found out there was no belt number under the hood. At this point I took the guy outside and showed him the lable under the hood that had the belt number listed. It was the same belt that I sold him. I was 40 minutes over my schedule. hardwall

Other than that my day was A-ok. thumbsup

I hope your day was pretty great. yay
