I can't vouch for it because I don't own the game. But see if this helps - POPT2T Save Game Location

It depends on the save game, some are zipped so you'll have to un-zip them before you use them. In general all you have to do is locate the save game folder and move the un-zipped files into the same folder.

What was the file extension of the save you downloaded (.zip .rar etc...)?

Did you attempt to open the Virtual Store folder? Click the Start Orb and enter the following into Search Programs and Files: shell:local appdata

Click the folder at the top of the panel, and peruse to - VirtualStore\Program Files\Ubisoft\Prince of Persia T2T\

The Steam version is different, but the location is shown on my previous link.

The game is a very old game that expects to be able to write files to its own directory. On Vista and higher system folders have write restrictions that prevent older games from being able to write these files. The function of the VirtualStore is to allow these files to be directed to it. Often this works well, but it can fail at times as some file types are disallowed. This is why some games like LSL5 will not work if installed under the Program Files directory with a regular user account and UAC on, the default for Windows.

You can avoid all of this simply by not installing these games in a system folder like either of the Program Files directories. Either install under your User folder or inside a new base folder like "C:\OldGames". Use the latter if there is more than one user account on the PC that you want to have access to the game.

You will find that modern publishers like GOG have now set the default install location for the older games to "C:\GOG Games" to avoid such potentially game breaking issues. For the POP games the saves would then be found in the game's installed folder.
